It all depends on your musical taste I guess. Kottonmouth Kings are considered Punk rock/hip hop. Their music is based on freedom, freedom to use nature's finest homegrown herbal remedies, by that I mean marijuana. They also speak about freedom of speech, freedom from the governments hold on us as citizens and a lot of other issues Americans face.
Where did they start and when?
The Kottonmouth Kings came from California, suburban Orange County to be exact. They started there career path in the early 90's with just Brad X, Saint Vicious (Dog) and D-Loc. Saint was a part of the scene for awhile until he had a disagreement and then left the band and was replaced by Johny Richter, then added Pakelika the visual assassin, DJ Bobby B , Loudog the drummer, and Taxman the anti-hero.
Now going strong 11 years deep into the game The Kottonmouth Kings music is felt all over. They tour from The USA to Japan. Shows around the world sell out, everyone wants to feel the vibe and energy at a Kings show.
Tell me about there music you say?
Whether it's Positive Vibes or Bi-Polar you'll feel their energy. From lyrics like " Put your fist down (fist down), throw your hands in the air
Respect yourself, be somebody who cares
Don't let life get you down, don't feel abused
Keep a positive view unto yourself be true"- Positive Vibes
to lyrics such as "Free thought time free think tank
Free speak keeps costing people big panic
How many jail cells are filled with people man
It's time to move stand up and take action" - Everybody Move
You can feel the emotion and the heart they put into their words, and if you attend a live show you'll truly feel how the energy is suppose to feel. It's a great experience unlike none other.
Why don't I hear them on the radio you say?
Underground music is made to be freeā¦free speech. To express yourself uncensored and not to feel the pressures of the big labels and there demands to be what they think sells. Kottonmouth Kings don't want to feel that pressure. They want to be who they are and express what they think.
The Kottonmouth Kings leader Brad Daddy X also known as Brad Xavier co-owns the record label the kings are on Suburban Noize records, Also Owned by Kevin Zinger. This makes the freedom much easier to express themselves and also find bands for the label who want to speak freely and not be dragged down by the demands of the big corporate labels. You can check out all the bands on Suburban Noize at their website www.suburbannoizerecords.com.
What are some of these bands?
Well bands you might already heard of are Hed Pe, OPM, and up and coming artist Big B, others are Phunk Junkeez, Mower, Saint Dog, Subnoize Souljaz and many more.

KOTTONMOUTHKINGS:

Formed in 1994, the Kottonmouth Kings (rappers D-Loc and Johnny Richter, producer Brad "Daddy X" Xavier, drummer Lou Dog, DJ Bobby B, break dancer Pakelika, and the Taxman) first appeared on the Scream 2 soundtrack with their single "Suburban Life." Their EP Stoners Reeking Havoc was released on their own Suburban Noize label in 1998. Royal Highness was their full length debut on the same label later that same year.
Hidden Stash came in 1999, and 2001's High Society saw them score gigs with D12 and Bionic Jive that fall. A few more releases later, and Kottonmouth Kings found themselves with their seventh studio release, 2005's appropriately titled No. 7. Kottonmouth Kings' latest release wa
