The quickest way to get free lift tickets is by checking either the ski resort website or the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce website for a lodging special. Lodging specials offering free tickets generally occur during early and late ski season. A minimum two-night stay is usually required. Select Shell gas stations in the Denver area offer a buy one get one adult ticket free coupon with the purchase of 10 gallons of gasoline starting in January. Both lift tickets must be used on the same day. More coupon information
Kids five years old and younger ski free at Winter Park Resort
Children 5 years old and younger ski for free at Winter Park Resort. Just stop by the lift ticket window and pick up a free lift ticket for them. Everyone using lifts must have a lift ticket whether it is free or purchased.
Fifth Grade Passport
Fifth Graders get three free lift tickets to Winter Park Resort with a Colorado Fifth Grade Passport. Any Fifth Grader can register for a free passport at the Colorado Ski Country USA website. The deadline to apply is late January. http://www.coloradoski.com/page/5th-and-6th-grade-passport
Volunteer for the Competition Center
Be a volunteer for events held at Winter Park Resort and earn free lift tickets. The Competition Center at Winter Park Resort runs ski and snowboard competitions throughout the ski season. They often need set up & tear down help, athlete registration help, course slippers, timers, time recorders, and food & beverage service. Many types of positions are available. Some positions require an intermediate skiing ability.
Volunteers earn a free lift ticket for every five hours they work. The vouchers can be used for winter or summer lift tickets. The lift tickets are valid for two seasons and can be transferred to friends and family. Volunteers must meet minimum age requirements. Volunteer for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD)
Winter Park Resort is the home of the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Volunteers within the program help the disabled experience the slopes of Winter Park Resort through a variety of programs. Ten commitment days and additional training days are required for on-slope positions to earn a free season pass. A variety of positions are available within the center. Be a Volunteer Host
If you are familiar with Winter Park Resort, tell people about it and earn a free season pass. Winter Park Volunteer Hosts must work a minimum number of 10 commitment days to earn the pass. Two training days are required at the beginning of the season. Strong intermediate ski or snowboard skills are required for on-mountain positions.
Work at Winter Park Resort
Full-time and seasonal part-time employees receive a free season pass and a few free lift tickets as part of their employment at Winter Park Resort. Time commitment requirements to get a free pass vary by position. Temporary positions are available throughout the season giving temporary employees the chance to earn free lift tickets during periods of high demand. There are a number of ways to earn free lift tickets or a free season pass at Winter Park Resort. The best time to investigate opportunities is in July or August on the resort website.
