Get Free Stuff Online

Freebies Listings, Local Radio Stations and Points Programs

Mia F
I love freebies. Who doesn't? I have found lots of ways to get free stuff online. Here are some sources that help satisfy my cheap tooth.

Your Daily Freebies
http://www.todaysfreebies.com/shopper.html
A huge list updated daily with many free offers or really good deals you can take advantage of. I suggest clicking on the Message Board/Chat link. This is a fabulous resource for freebies, contests, and deals online and B&M. I visit 1st Of The month Freebies / One Day Only GiveAways daily. I have received many free products in the mail through the posts here.
Craigslist
Craigslist is known for being a great site to find jobs, services, events, and merchandise for sale. They also have a section for free stuff. People in your area list things they want to get rid of. I often see listings for free pets along with clothing, furniture, appliances many miscellaneous household items.

Local radio station websites
Look up all the radio stations in your area online. Their websites are usually filled with free contests and point programs. In my area (central Ohio); QFM96, The Big Wazoo, and WHOK all have rewards programs. By visiting sites, answering trivia, and completing surveys, you can earn points to spend on CDs, DVDs, books and event tickets on their auctions and in their redemption areas. CD101.com offers Lounge Points for performing activities like site surfing, surveys, and listening for Lounge Tips played on the air. They have a monthly auction with tons of prizes like event tickets, books, CDs, gift certificates, clothing, DVDs, and books. They also have a redemption area with occasional tickets, CDs, and CD101 logo items.

Rewards programs
With Creationsrewards.net, you earn points visiting sites, answering trivia, shopping, and completing online offers. It takes quite a while to earn enough points for rewards. Gift certificates and cash rewards are priced at 1000 points and up.

Rewardtv.com let's you earn points by filling out surveys and answering questions regarding TV shows and commercials which aired the previous evening. Only certain networks (including cable) and shows usually airing between 6PM and midnight are offered to "play". Points accumulate fairly quickly and points can be spent in auctions, sweepstakes entries, and a shopping spree. The Shopping Spree prizes are fairly cheap as far as points needed but are only available twice a week. I have tried several times to redeem Spree gift certificates but haven't been able to get through at all and prizes are completely taken within a few minutes. The auctions prizes, on the other hand, go for very high amounts (of points).

Mypoints.com has provided many, many gift cards to me over the years through their rewards program. You earn by clicking through emails, filling out surveys, shopping online, referrals, and completing offers. Rewards are fairly priced, are easy to redeem, and are mailed out quickly.

I have been a member of Memolink.com for several years. It has changed in the past year with the price of prizes increasing greatly. You can earn points by visiting sites, answering trivia, completing online offers, shopping, referrals, and completing surveys. Points rewarded range from 1-3 points for visiting sites to thousands for completing offers such as applying for a credit card. Prizes, cash and gift cards, start at 19,200 points for $10.

I use MyPoints and enjoy it :) Currently I'm saving my points to get a Barnes & Noble gift card, which I can use in my college bookstore. The only I don't like is that it takes several weeks to receive a gift card once you've requested it (the first one I got took almost six weeks).
