Sustainable and locally grown produce is available in downtown Cape Coral, Florida on fall and winter Saturday mornings. Beginning October 16, 2010 and running through May 7, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, you can find a huge array of fresh farm food at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market.

Located at the corners of SE 10th Place and SE 47th Terrace in downtown Cape Coral at Club Square, the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market delights all who attend. Just one block north of Cape Coral Parkway at 10th Place, you will find rows of vendors laid out in grid style, each offering farm fresh food that is locally grown and sustainable.

Free parking is directly across SE 10th Place from the Farmer's Market vendors. There is no cost to get in to the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market. You can stroll among the vendors for free.

Farm Fresh Food for Sale at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market

Locally grown fruits and vegetables for sale at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market are available from nearly 50 vendors. Some of their offerings are: avocados, tomatoes, corn, potatoes, green beans, all varieties of squash, onions, beets, radishes, grapefruit, apples, pears, and bananas. Venus Veggies is known for its organic farm fresh produce grown locally. Some vendors have foods such as bagels and cream cheese, home baked breads and muffins, pastries, cheese, homemade exotic relishes made from farm fresh ingredients, and cupcakes.

Fresh flowers and hand crafted soaps are available for purchase and make beautiful green, sustainable gifts for your loved ones. Pick up a handmade soap from The Soap Petaler or the Paradise Handmade Soap Company. You can even find handmade jewelry items at the booths of Sue's Jewels, Thistle Hill Jewelry, or Karen's Kreations.

Locally grown vegetables and fruits are offered at low prices. The quality of these farm fresh, sustainable vegetables, compared with those you can obtain at a local supermarket, is exceptional. The prices of the Farmer's Market produce are lower than the lesser quality produce you buy at the supermarket.

Entertainment at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market

The Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market has a special treat for shoppers-live music-as you browse for your favorite green things. Listen to Dave Lapio play the steel drums while selecting the finest fresh herb bundles. Groove to the tropical rock by John Friday and his guitar. Shopping for farm fresh, locally grown, sustainable produce is a pleasant experience. As you wander among the vendors, Florida's balmy breezes blow and music plays in the background.

Special Events at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market

On the first Saturday of every month during the season of the Farmer's Market, antique and craft vendors can also be found at the Cape Coral, Florida Farmer's Market. Since there is plenty of room at Club Square, the antique and craft booths are found right next to the produce vendors.
