This dream job will be for six month duration and will pay just over $100K USD. Most of us would be able to work for those six months and take off the following six months with that kind of pay. Not to mention, the winner will be pretty much vacationing while they're working anyway. The island that this job will take place on is Hamilton Island, and the winners will catch a flight from their home country, to the island, free of charge. Hamilton Island is located on the Great Barrier Reef. The person eventually employed will have several job duties
The expected job duties of the successful applicant will generally be to explore the islands. They will snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, walk the sands, and some other minor duties. So, whoever gets this job will have to love the outdoors, as well as the water. They will be expected to report their explorations to a worldwide audience through blogs, photo images, and videos. They will also have to speak to the media, so shy people need not apply. The successful applicant will have to be a good swimmer, have great communication skills, and be able to write and speak English very well. Their living situation won't be small-time either. The person who gets the job will enjoy a three-bedroom beach house. The beach house will have a plunge pool, and they will have a golf cart to get around. They will pretty much be the spokesperson for tourism in the islands.
This job is open to everyone, and is part of a project to keep up Queensland's huge tourism industry. This is an intelligent move due to the worldwide financial meltdown that has affected all economies.
Anyone who wants to apply for this job must apply by February 22nd. Eleven of all the total applicants will be flown into Hamilton Island in early May. From there, they will narrow down these applicants until they have finally chosen who will be the person for the job. Whoever is chosen will begin their six month contract on July 1, 2009.
