Get Into Shape Fast

First thing that I always tell people about getting in shape fast is find an activity that you enjoy that takes physical effort. So skip playing cards or watching TV, skip video games also. Maybe I should say find an out door activity that you will consistently do and do it . It is really that simple. I have been very fortunate to find surfing 30 years ago. Its is very physically demanding and mentally demanding also. It seems to work your whole body pretty well. I was a smoker and when I started surfing I quit because I could tell I was getting winded and I was only in my 20s at the time. Many of my friends enjoy walking and sometimes after they have been walking for a few weeks they want to start jogging.

Seriously forget about all the work out equipment that you have seen on TV. Sure some of it will get you into shape and I do own a few contraptions that when I do sit in front of the TV and like to sometimes use them. But you may never get into shape as fast as if you get off the couch and go outside. Stop making excuses. like its to cold or its to wet. I used to jog in 20 below zero weather when I was a kid. People thought I was crazy, but I stayed in shape and I wasn't glued to the TV as much as most of the people I know are. I really believe that the TV is the biggest contributing factor for most people that I know are out of shape.

Even if you try to not watch it for a few hours less each day you will see a big improvement in your life. Seriously! Better yet pick the day when your shows are not on TV, replace it with a walk. You will find that you whole life will change, you will start to have a better attitude at work and at home. You will start to get into shape faster but just walking a few times a week than almost anything else. Here's why, its not a gym membership, its not a new special weight trainer that Chuck Norris uses to stay buff. No offense Mr Norris. Walking is something most of us can do and it doesn't cost anything. You might even learn something by walking around your neighborhood. After you have been walking a few days a week for a short period of time you will find that you will sleep better, you will eat better and you will get into shape fast. Then maybe you will find an activity other than walking that will get you into even better shape.
