Interior wall fountains are an inexpensive way to add glamour to your home.

Garden fountains have become an enormously popular way to give your yard a professionally landscaped look without actually having to pay a landscaper. Now small interior wall fountains can do the same thing for the inside of your home. Not many of us can afford to have expensive art hanging on our walls or genuine antiques scattered about to give our homes a decadent feel but wall fountains can appear just as opulent without the excessive cost.

Interior wall fountains are small and easy to install. They come in many different styles, from ultra modern glass and steel to traditional statue themes, so they will match any décor. In the dining room, living room or even the bedroom, wall fountains give a look of affluence and luxury while the trickling water has an overall calming effect.

It is easy to incorporate wall fountains into your homes layout. They are small and hang on the wall, so they aren't likely to get in the way of the other aspects of your design. They are also made from a variety of materials, from granite to aggregate rock, so you can find one that can be incorporated into your look. They can be placed at any height on the wall but it is best to put them up high enough to be out of the reach of kids and pets. It is also best to put them in an area that is out of the way, like behind a sofa, or above eye level, so that they are not likely to get walked into by an unsuspecting guest.

Unlike large elaborate floor fountains, which take up much more space and require more intensive maintenance, small wall fountains can be installed with very little damage done to your home. A few small holes to hang the fountain and a small tap on your water line, similar to what your would need for a refrigerator's ice maker, and that's it. They can bubble away merrily for many years with very little maintenance. Large floor fountains also take up a great deal of floor space and so you are limited as to where you can install them. They are really only practical in a large front entrance-way or very large living room. Wall fountains on the other hand can be placed easily in any room, they can even add a touch of class to an otherwise modest bathroom.

If you want your home to have the look and feel of the homes featured on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", but you are neither rich nor famous, then wall fountains can help you meet that goal. With some careful designing choices and wall fountains you can create a home that is the talk of the town, one that looks like the ones feature in magazines, without spending a great deal of money.
