Get Me Across This Wet Land!

Somebody help me get across this skinny segment of wet land

for it runs underneath my feet

won't you give me a hand

in helping me to the other side.

I can give you a five and twenty for this simple task

I'm late in getting to work

make sure I don't have to wear a mask

if I should fall in the mud face first.
