Use Coupons to Advertise Your Business

Advertisement is a key part of any successful business. Think about it, even if you had the best product in the whole world, it wouldn't do you any good without some sort of advertising. Take McDonalds for example, they advertise on a regular basis. They advertise through television, radio, and even coupons. Even though just about everyone in the whole world knows about McDonalds, they still continue to advertise. This is to keep you reminded of them.

There are many ways to advertise a business, or product. You have many options available to you. You could try advertising through the radio, television, internet, coupons, flyers, newspapers, and circulars. All of these are great ways toadvertise, but they all vary in price. Radio, and television advertisements are among the more expensive ways to advertise. Flyers and coupons, usually cost the least, and have the potential of getting many targeted customers.

A targeted customer is one that is interested in what you are selling. For instance, let's say you wanted to advertise a dog show. You make flyers, and hand them out in front of a grocery store. You might find a few animal lovers taking this route, but you would gain more targeted customers by handing those flyers out at a pet store. You will find more people interested in dogs at a pet store than the grocery store.

You wouldn't try to sell Raid to roaches, but you would want to sell water in the desert. You must use a little common sense, when developing an advertising campaign in order to get the best results. I have found that flyers and coupons, work very well as an inexpensive way to advertise, to potential customers.

When advertising for my business during the slow months of the year, I was using flyers and coupons together. Now I have designed a very nice flyer with valuable coupons located at the bottom of the flyer. This seems to work out very nicely for our business. We hardly even have a slow period anymore.

When designing a coupon, keep in mind that even though you want to attract customers, you still want to make a profit. We pick one very popular service that we offer, and one not so popular service that we have, for our coupons. This seems to work very well. We also place a list of all of our services, on the flyer. Using business cards as 10% off coupons is also a good idea for advertising on a budget.

First you should figure out what your service costs you, and never go under that price. We generally take off $2.00 for a $18.00 service. Making the new price only $16.00 dollars. Giving the consumer a savings of two dollars, and we are still making four dollars profit. Coupons, and flyers are a wonderful way to advertise your business to targeted consumers.
