Get Organized: A Free Online Class

Serfronya Wallace
HP is offering a free online class called: Get Organized: Managing Time, Space, and Paper. I took this course when it was offered last year and it was definitely well worth my time. The class overview states "Do you feel overwhelmed by too much clutter and not enough time? This course is a practical guide to managing your schedule and your stuff so you can get the most out of every aspect of your life. You'll learn to respond actively to life's clutter -- rather than reacting negatively without solving the problem."

Get organized and eliminate frustration.
I can definitely relate to that last statement. When my home was constantly cluttered I was so frustrated but continued to just shuffle the clutter around to get to what I needed at the time. By going through this free online class I learned some easy and manageable ways to eliminate the messes and to keep them gone.

Learn to get organized from a qualified teacher.
This free online class is taught by Robin Allen, who according to her bio is writer and editor who works from home and "has organized three home offices and six homes." She has a great philosophy that "being organized starts with wanting to be."

It's about more than just organization.
The title of this class only scratches the surface of all that you will learn. Not only will you learn how to get organized but you will also learn how to de-clutter closets, clean out your fridge, and even help your children to become more organized.

Get the children involved as well.
And believe me, children can get organized as well. Of course, they'll never be more organized than their parents, so Robin Allen teaches you how to become organized yourself, then she moves on to your home and your family.

What's the catch?
You do have to register with HP in order to sign up for the free online classes. But enrollment is free and you only have to enter minimal personal information. Of course HP suggests some of their products that will supposedly "help" you complete the course, but they are not necessary.

Enroll now.
Once you are registered you can enroll for the free online class now but you will not be able to view the coursework until the first day of class which is April 12, 2007. There are no prerequisites and you don't have to purchase any additional materials. Enrollment is closed once the class fills up.
