"Get Out of My Kitchen!"

Jersey

"Get out of my kitchen!"

Her daughter bellows, red-faced.

"I just wanted to help,"

Is her pitiful reply.

"I don't need or want your help!"

Her daughter sends a juice glass

Shattering to the tile floor.

Clear jagged glass shards mingle

With water and wildflowers,

Once white, yellow, and green,

Now neglected, dingy, and dead.

"Let me help clean it up."

Her daughter slams a pan

Onto the stove and screams.

"No, I didn't ask for your help!

You always get in my way!"

reminds me of that old TV commercial: Mother, please, I'd rather do it myself...sometimes mom's do not know when to let go...sometimes daughters are ungrateful...like your use of words to bring the scene in view...
