1- Rethink your ideas.
Take a step back and rethink your ideas. Why do you feel a certain way about certain groups of people or working at a particular job? By challenging yourself to analyze the source of your ideas, you may suddenly have an epiphany and change. You may realize that your basis for certain actions is ridiculous.
2- Meet a new person.
Hanging out with the same people all of your days will only hurt you. You will believe in stereotypes and other silly things because your world is so small. Get out of your rut and meet someone new from a different area. Take the time to get to know him and learn how other people live.
3- Sign up for a class.
Pick a subject you're unfamiliar with and take a class. Learn a new language. Swing around a dance floor. By having a new experience, you will expand your mind. Then, a few of those old habits that always haunted you will slowly begin to disappear or morph into something else.
4- Challenge a friend.
Get out of a rut by joining forces with a friend through a challenge. Challenge your pal to do something different everyday for week and vice versus. Then, after the seven days are over, talk about what you learned from it. The support you give each other will keep you on track and excited about the experience.
5- Hire a life coach.
If you know change comes hard for you, get a life coach. This professional can help you get specific and hone in on what you really want. You can find one easily and even get a life coach that focuses only on a specific area such as business. Don't worry about how much yours cost because the end result will pay big.
6- Speak change.
You can begin breaking tradition today by changing the words that come out of your mouth. Be a cheerleader to yourself and quit saying you'll never get out of your dead-end job. Twist your words around and say you know you'll get out eventually and are working on it everyday. After a while, your mouth will catch up with your head and you'll be making strides out the door.
Ready for change? Try these six things and add spice back into your life.
