You act like a mother protecting her young
It's like you invented the chicken!
You proudly display your superior skills
And we're required to compliment you
But if we don't honor you sufficiently
You fish for more praise while we chew
But then when it's my turn to cook us a meal
You can't keep the lid on the pot
You season and stir and throw this and that in
If I did it, I'd surely be shot
But I know what you're up to you devious bastard
You eat it and then take your cue
If it's awful, it proves that I'm not a good cook
If it's great, well it's all thanks to you!
