Get Paid to Do Your Shopping Online

Ebie Harris
Who would not want to make money online with virtually no effort? Ebates.com is this great little website that rewards you for shopping on their site. Essentially you are rewarded with cash for doing your shopping online! An account is quick, easy, and free to sign up for. You just go to the website and enter your email address. That's it your done. With today's recent economy, I, like many others am always searching for a way to make ends meet. Ebates.com is an easy way to bring in some extra cash.

Ebates offers hundreds of stores to choose from. All you need to do is first log onto your Ebates account before you complete any online shopping and click on the tracking ticket. The tracking ticket is a device that Ebates uses to track and confirm where you are shopping. For example if you want to shop at Macy's you go to Ebates.com, click on the Macy's store logo, a tracking ticket (which is an individual number specific to your shopping) appears, and you enter Macy's site as you normally would. When you have completed shopping and Ebates can confirm your purchase total, depending on how much cash back Macy's was offering, you will see the amount appear as if magic into your Ebates account in as little as two days (up to one month depending on the stores policy).

As a stay at home mom I absolutely love the convenience of online shopping. In order to draw in business many stores offer free shipping or shipping at a huge discount. Overstock.com is notorious for their low shipping; daily rates of $2.95 and monthly special offers where everything ships for $1.00. Not only am I saving gas and time, now I am able to get a little cash back for those extras. Today Starbucks counts as an extra and not a necessity!. Each week Ebates.com offers different stores in their highlight section. You can receive up to 12% cash back for some purchases. I am a avid fan of Diapers.com and usually receive about 4.0% cash back from there. Most of the money I receive is from shopping through Diapers.com since I do place an order about every 2 ½ to 3 weeks. Every three months earned cash can either be sent through Paypal or by a check to you or a charity of your choice. If you want to earn even more money check out Ebates.com for their friend referral incentives.

We all know if something sounds too good to be true then you should usually stay away. With millions of sites out there one has to be careful not to get caught up in some money making scheme (money making for the company or individual and not you). There are some glitches, so to speak, of the Ebates.com rewards program but no big red flags. My three complaints would be Toys R US does not offer any cash back. All you will find are coupon codes. As a mother that does a lot of shopping with this store and Babies R US it would be great to see some cash back. Another complaint is I always try to figure out what I should receive back. It never fails, I forget to keep in mind that sales tax and shipping do not count toward the total. Now sales tax and shipping can sometimes add as much as $20.00 to your overall purchase and it would be nice to be compensated for that. You need to also keep in mind that some sale items do not count toward your purchase total. Each store has an individual policy that you can read before buying. To date the most frustrating thing that I have happened was when a tracking ticket could not be confirmed by a store. I purchased a stove online through the Home Depot website. For one purchase I was going to have a cash back of $15.63 but that never happened. Whether it was my own fault I cannot say. All I know is that the tracking ticket could not be confirmed.

All in all Ebates.com is a great website. Where else can you make some quick cash with no skills required? Happy shopping!
