Get Paid to Write Poetry on Associated Content: Make Money Writing Poetry, Poems

Why You Should Publish Your Poetry on Associated Content

Rachael A. Lund
As many of you may know, selling poetry is very hard. Getting paid at all to write poetry is difficult. That can be discouraging for those of us who love to write poetry, but would like to make some money doing it. I personally have submitted a lot of my poetry to different places and haven't made a cent off of it. I had been making money writing articles for Associated Content though and recently decided to try submitting poetry and see what happened.

Poetry you publish on Associated Content earns money by getting viewed. The more views your poetry gets, the more money you earn. I believe my poetry is worth money and really like that it can earn money with views. Associated Content has a poetry page and a prose page that recently published works get promoted on. I have actually gotten over four hundred views on one poem in eight days. Every poem I have published on AC has gotten views and earned money. Poetry on Associated Content also has the potential to get more views for as long as it's on AC, continuing to earn more money.

Associated Content offers many ways to promote your writing to create a greater potential for views, which in turn earns even more money. I have Associated Content widgets on my Myspace page that can be clicked on to view my writing. I have a blog about my writing that has links to individual poems I have written. I also use StumbleUpon and Digg to promote my writing. My sister even put my Associated Content Content Producer Page link on her Myspace. All of these help promote your writing, creating a greater potential for views which earn you more money.

Associated Content also has what's known as "calls for content". This is a list of specific things they are looking for someone to write about. At times, they are looking for poetry for certain subjects. You can claim these "calls for content" and submit your work when it's ready to be published. You do have to be able to meet a deadline, but that's fairly simple. Works published to fulfill a "call for content" are often promoted on AC and receive a lot of views. That of course, earns you more money.

So if you would like to get paid for writing your poetry, publish it on Associated Content. Then you can promote it as much as you want to create a greater earning potential.

Great advice, sadly, I'm not such a great poet!

Great inspiration. I am surprised that my poetry is making money! It's very encouraging. Yay AC!

I don't put much poetry up here, because I write poetry for myself, not to make money off of it. Maybe I should write a few more for the site, but I've noticed that only my holiday related poetry gets many views.
