Get Paid to Write: Websites I Have Earned Money From

1. ReviewStream.com. A long-time favorite of mine where I have earned over $600. What they need is reviews - of anything. Books, movies, products, attractions, restaurants, food, CD's, airlines, you name it. A brief review currently brings you 40 cents, a more detailed one $2. *Note: certain categories, like Books, Movies, and Recipes only pay 40 cents, no matter how long and detailed the review is. Also, remember that Reviewstream wants you to write for them exclusively: you cannot re-submit reviews published elsewhere online or any kind of copied content. If you do, it will be detected, and your account with ReviewStream will be banned. When you have accumulated $50 you can request payment by sending them an e-mail. Payment is done via PayPal and is usually very quick.

2. SharedReviews.com. This newer site is currently in Beta; full launch is scheduled for February 11, 2008. While in Beta, you can earn $2 per product review, with the limit of $150 per person. I have already reached the limit & cashed out. After the full launch, contributors will be paid their share of revenue from advertizing. At this point, I do not know exactly how it will work, but the creators of the site promise that $2 will be the minimum brought by a good review.

3. Helium.com. This website accepts articles on a wide variety of existing and new topics. Different authors write on the same topic and compete with each other. There is a rating system where you have to regularly rate other people's articles in order for yours to be rated as well. Higher rated articles move up the list and earn more, lower rated ones "sink." You get paid for page views. Helium also has paid contests and a place called Marketplace where you can try to get bigger $$ by writing for publishers represented there. Helium pays via PayPal when you have accumulated $25. I have made over $100 with them.

4. Constant-Content.com. Constant content allows you to submit your articles which, if accepted, can be purchased by third parties interested in your content. CC takes a portion of your earnings when an article is sold. You set the price and have the option of selling full rights or only a usage license. CC has the Requested Content page where buyers post what kind of articles they want; the quickest way to make money is to go there and write on a requested topic. Otherwise, your submitted articles may sit there forever. You have to earn $50 to cash out; they pay via PayPal.
