Get Ready to Pay Your Internet Usage Tax

Unless You Contact Your Senators and Tell Them No!

Robert Douglas
Congress wanted to tax your Internet usage, but a moratorium was placed on this horrible legislation. Now, we need a permanent ban on this kind of legislation!

THE MORATORIUM EXPIRES IN LESS THAN 10 DAYS!

Yes, I know I'm shouting but if you are reading this, you are on the Internet and you are NOT currently paying a tax to use it. Do you want to? I think not.

According to Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW): "

"The House last week passed a four-year extension of the Internet tax moratorium, and the Senate is scheduled to take up legislation this week. While extending the moratorium is better than letting it lapse, it leaves the door open for eventual taxation and creates a climate of uncertainty for individuals and businesses that rely on the Internet. Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), John Sununu (R-N.H.), and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) are pushing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to allow a vote on making the Internet tax ban permanent. The Senate needs to hear that Americans like you support a permanent ban!"

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SENATORS AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT SENs MCCAIN, SUNUNU AND WYDEN IN THEIR EFFORT TO ENACT A PERMANENT BAN AND KEEP THE INTERNET FREE.

An easy way to do this is through the CAGW web site, as it automates the process for easy communication with your Senators. It also tells you who your Senators are in case you aren't sure.

Either way, don't let Senator Harry Reid implement the internet tax! I sure don't want to pay for using it...
