If you ask me when a great time to travel to Mexico is, then I'd say anytime soon. But you're probably looking for the best time since that answer is a little too vague. There are specific periods in the year that may be of interest to different kinds of people. Depending on the season, it may be better one certain destination than the other.

But when planning your trip to Mexico, there are several aspects you will need to keep in mind. Always consider the weather, the feasts and the events you will be able to see at the time of your trip.

Mexico is known to have a vast range of climate zones in different regions of the country. Throughout the year, weather at sea level ranges from warm to hot - a whole year of beach weather! At higher altitudes, the weather can be extremely cold in winter months from November up to January. If you're planning to go for a swimming trip, it is best to go to Mexico beach resorts between the months October to May as it is extremely hot and humid from June to September.

December is the most expensive time for Cancun and spring break is full of college students that might not be appropriate for family fun. So, if you like parties, then it might be the best to go there at spring break. Fall would be the best time if you need a romantic getaway to Mexico with a special someone.

Aside from Cancun, Mexico has a lot to offer like Playa del Carmen which is packed with great restaurants and nice shopping areas, Akumal which hosts the most breath-taking palm tree beaches in the country. The Casa Cenote, a small restaurant and condo space situated in a remote cove, might be a good choice for your trip as well.
