Natural cures for heartburn are usually more popular than the typical antacid, although they may take longer to work, or not work as long. A natural cure, like most medicine will work differently for each individual who wants to get rid of heartburn naturally. If you want to get rid of heartburn naturally try glutamine, apple cider vinegar, licorice or ginger, these natural remedies are not typically thought of by people who get heartburn, but are usually less damaging to the body if they are a part of someones diet, instead of antacids or other medications.

Glutamine

Glutamine is a good way to get rid of heartburn naturally, but takes a while to increase the amount in ones body. Glutamine is an aminoacid, and you can increase the amount your body has by eating red meat, beans, fish juice and dairy products. I've found that this works, but it did take a week or two before I noticed a huge result. If you would rather take a supplement, you can find glutamine at a store such as Lucky Vitamin on the Internet, or at health food store in your local city.

Apple Cider Vinegar

To get rid of heartburn naturally, try apple cider vinegar, as soon as you feel it coming on. This worked very well for me when I was pregnant. I would take a teaspoon as soon as I felt it or right before bed. This helped me to sleep well, but it didn't ever last more than about 15 to 30 minutes. I used the vinegar as an instant relief tecnique, which is great for heartburn that is painful and unbearable.

Licorice or Ginger

Licorice is something I tried in a tea, and it worked well after a meal to get rid of heartburn naturally. Yogi offers great teas to get rid of heartburn naturally, which can be found at health food stores or at The Vitamin Shoppe on the Internet. Ginger is available in a tea as well or you may chew on a piece of ginger candy or ginger root, to get rid of heartburn naturally. I've found some ginger candy in the diabetic section at grocery stores, but mostly online or at health food stores. If you would rather take a pill they are available in both licorice and ginger and will get rid of heartburn naturally, but not as quick as the teas or candy.

Each natural heartburn cure is different, and some work well, while some people say the product didn't get rid of heartburn for them. To get rid of heartburn natually, is a common goal for many people, which is reached easily if one incorporates a healthy diet and these natural cures into thier daily habbits.
