Get Scared Outta Your Pants at “The 13th Gate” and “Necropolis 13” in Baton Rouge, LA

Are you ready for The 13^th Gate? Halloween is creeping up and our favorite attraction in Baton Rouge is now open! Midnight Productions has taken the frights to another level this year with the addition of Necropolis 13. Necropolis 13 is a new attraction added to celebrate 10 years of hauntings in Baton Rouge, LA.

The 13^th Gate is Baton Rouge's premier haunted house. In fact, people from all over the state come to Baton Rouge just to visit The 13^th Gate. Why? Because it is one of the best haunted houses in the United States! Haunt.com ranked The 13^th Gate as the third best haunted house in the United States last year. This year, Midnight Productions may even score higher with the newly added necropolis 13, which is an old and decaying cemetery located right across the street from The 13^th Gate.

The 13^th Gate

The 13^th Gate features 13 rooms filled with different themes and horrors. You should wear comfortable clothing, as you will have to make your way through the gates by walking and/or crawling to escape the horrors or the creatures that may be following close behind you.

Each year several rooms are updated to provide new hauntings, so you never know what to expect when you visit The 13^th Gate. Midnight Productions hires only professional staff members to build and decorate the sets. Work begins in the spring of each year to make sure that all of the "gates" are updated and ready for the Halloween season.

One thing is for sure, you will be scared! As the commercial goes, "If you are scared and you know it, SCREAM out loud!"

Necropolis 13

Necropolis 13 is new this year and is located right across the street from The 13^th Gate. What is Necropolis 13? Think about a deserted and run down ancient cemetery with cracked tombs, weeds and just an overall creepy feeling.

All I can say is that you should expect the unexpected when you enter Necropolis 13. There are tombs, tombs that open up and….

There are also a few roaming zombies in Necropolis 13. Stick close to a friend so you don't get caught alone!

Parking

Parking across the street is a paid lot, but free parking is located under the interstate and in the Belle of Baton Rouge parking garage.

Hours of Operation

The 13^th Gate and Necropolis 13 is open from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays up until Thursday, October 20, 2011 when the facilities will open at 6:30 pm and remain open until the crowd has subsided. Both facilities will close on November 1-3 and reopen on Friday, November 4, 2011 and Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 7:00 pm until.
