Are your feet scaly and undesirable? Wish you could slough off some of that old skin without harsh chemicals and over-filing? In our household, we always look to natural solutions when it comes to just about everything. That includes beauty and personal care. It is possible to get silky soft feet quickly with natural remedies. If you follow the regimen exactly, you will likely see results after the very first treatments. By repeating the process continuously, you'll see even better results.
Use a homemade sugar scrub. When you scrub your feet daily with a natural moisturizing foot scrub, it takes away the dead skin, while hydrating the healthy skin. This is a necessary process in keeping your feet looking their best. I find the best results when using all three of the recipes for silky soft feet one after the other before bed at night. To make the homemade sugar scrub for your feet, blend ΒΌ cup each of white sugar and sweet almond oil. Then, add six drops of orange essential oil and one drop of ginger essential oil. Lastly, stir in one teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper. The sugar scrubs, as well moisturizes, the oils moisturize, and the cayenne pepper helps reduce swelling after a long day.
Soak your feet in an oatmeal bath. After the moisturizing foot scrub, you can add extra moisture by soaking your feet in an oatmeal bath. Oatmeal baths help relieve itching and add extra moisture to the skin. They are like a spa for your feet. To create an oatmeal bath, all you need is an old sock or the cut-off foot of an old pair of hosiery. Fill your sock or hosiery about halfway with dry oats. Quick oats don't work as well as the original. Tie the sock or hosiery to the end of your faucet. Be sure that it's positioned in a way that allows the water to run over it. Run the water over it with the bathtub plugged until there is enough water to cover the feet and ankles. Untie the sock and swish it in the water. Squeeze it out into the water. Repeat until the mixture comes out clear and the water is filmy. Rub the water into the feet. Then, soak them in it for about 15 minutes. Pat dry.
Hydrate the feet while you sleep. The last step involves a homemade foot moisturizer. You can use any lotion for this step but the process works best by using the homemade mixture. Mash one or two strawberries to make about two tablespoons. Stir in one tablespoon of olive oil, two tablespoons of coconut oil, 5 drops of 100% tea tree oil, and one vitamin E capsule. Massage the mixture into your feet. Place your socks on directly afterward and leave them on all night. When you remove them in the morning, you'll have silky soft skin on your feet. If necessary, you can also moisturize with this blend in the morning, omitting the sock portion.

Darned good article, with great different suggestions!! Good job, Lyn!
Sounds like terrific ideas! I need to make the sugar scrub.
More great ideas! Thanks again.
Good ideas. I don't get pedicures b/c I don't like people touching my feet. Gonna try this with my daughter now. :)
I just sent this to facebook
Lyn, thanks for this!
I need to take this advice, great work... :o)
Wow, Lyn; your foot scrubs sound good enough to eat! In fact, I imagine my dogs would be crazy to get at my feet! I could use something like this though, thanks! I've got almost all the ingredients I need for the "hydrate while you sleep" mixture. I may have to alter the method though, as my dog sleeps with me, and she would go crazy with yummy smells like that in the bed with her!
