Having thick, mildly wavy hair, the flat iron used to be my best friend. If I didn't take the time to blow-dry and flat iron my hair, I ended up with randomly wavy hair that could not be left down. I hated getting up early for school just so I could get my hair to look presentable, yet I did not want to fall back on a pony tail all the time either for the sake of saving time. I set out in search of a product that might help my hair be more controlled and fabulous looking without having to take the flat iron to it. Paul Mitchell Straight Works gel does just that.
Since using Paul Mitchell Straight Works I have cut my hair grooming time in half. All I do now is
run a small amount of Straight Works through my wet hair. After applying Straight Works I blow-dry my hair and use my fingers or a brush to help pull my hair straight. After my hair is dry, that's it! I have long, soft, silky hair and don't even need to use my flat iron. What used to take 20 minutes to a half hour, now takes me 10 minutes tops!
One of the other pluses of Paul Mitchell Straight Works is that it has a pleasant smell that is not overpowering. In my own experience, the smell of the product does not linger long after it is applied to hair.I would offer one word of warning regarding Paul Mitchell Straight Works. If you use too much of the gel this can definitely weigh your hair down and make it greasy. I would recommend staying away from your roots. As long as you don't get carried away and put too much Straight Works in at once, you should not notice any greasiness from using it.
Paul Mitchell Straight Works comes in a 6.8 oz tube that stands on its lid. The gel itself is clear and very thick. It is not runny at all. When it is rubbed between your hands the product is very shiny and slick. It runs about $15 a bottle and is available at most salons. I use this product about every other day and one tube has lasted me at least 6 months.
For any woman with mildly wavy hair that is looking to shorten her time getting ready in the morning, use Paul Mitchell Straight Works. You won't miss your flat iron at all!
