Who isn't in debt? Ok, there might be a few people... but for the majority of us, we all have bills to pay and often struggle with where to come up with a few extra funds.

Here are a few ideas to get you on the right track to add some money to your checkbook. Just make sure to use it on your bills, and not on extravagance!

1. Write for Associated Content. Need I say more? What an excellent opportunity to earn some money to help pay off your bills. But, I'm sure I don't have to tell you all that!

2. Have a yard sale. If you're like me, you have way too much stuff piled up in your household. Time to clear it out and simplify your life! Great rid of the extra junk, and make a few bucks doing it.

3. Get a part time job. It doesn't have to be a lot of hours every week. Fast food places are great, even though the pay isn't. McDonalds or the like offer flexible hours that can work around your "real job" schedule.

4. Get rid of your "drainers." Maybe you have a motorcycle sitting in your garage, or a motorhome you never use.... Sell them. You're spending extra money on insurance and excise taxes. Selling them will give you a few dollars and save you money every month on the extras that come along with owning vehicles.

5. If you have a large house, consider renting out a room. This can bring in some extra cash, but be careful whom you rent to. Going by word of mouth is ideal, especially with some of the lunatics that are out there today! Keep your family safe; so use this one with caution.

6. Quit smoking and drinking. I'm a smoker, so I know how hard this can be. I'm sure you've added up the numbers before to realize how much you spend every week on your habit. Easier said than done, but if you can do it - you'll be adding quite a bit of money into your pocket.

7. Get rid of extras- such as cable; high speed internet, extras on the phone bill. Even a few dollar drop in each of these areas on a monthly basis can make a difference!

8. Sell on Ebay- do you have a hobby? Like to make crafts? Sell it on Ebay. Can you start a class to teach others how to make what you make? Turn your hobby into a profit.

9. Pack your own lunch and coffee. No more Starbucks, you can make a cup of coffee and home and bring it with you to work. If you love your caffeine, pick up a large thermos and it'll stay warm throughout the day. Think of the money you'll save!

It's not rocket science to know where you can save money every month. Even try a few of these, and you'll notice the savings. Remember to track your money for a month to see where it's going, and you'll realize you've probably made some foolish purchases! Every dollar counts!
