Right off of South Main Street, Little Hill's sits right in the mist of St. Charles. It's perfectly snug right around the corner from the Ameristar Casino. So it's a perfect place to visit right before your trip to the casino.
Little Hill's Winery is a place where you can not only indulge in french meals but you can taste test their finest wines. Little Hill's Winery is more of an upscale restaurant. I wasn't used to the whole "upscale" dining thing. We had to get dressed up and actually put on nice cloths to go. But after actually getting dolled up and going, I've put Little Hill's Winery on my "favorite restaurant"list.
Little Hills serves their finest wines in bottles as well as glasses. They serve a handful of different selections; From Blushes, Whites, Specialties, red as well as Sparkling and Port wines. Even though I went to try the wines, I ended up loving the Little Hill's "martinis." I would have opted for a weaker martini but nevertheless it was good.
Despite the fact that my husband and I went to Little Hill's during dinner. I noticed that they offered a lunch menu that looked a lot better than the dinner menu.I convinced the waiter to allow me to try out their signature sandwiches as well as their vegetable stir-fry. I must admit that their meals are just as exceptional as their wines are.
My husband stuck to the dinner menu and ended up ordering the lobster ravioli, which I snuck a taste of. It was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and just the right temperature.
My favorite part of Little Hill's is the garden patio. The garden patio is lovely and well enjoyed when the weather is perfect. To be able to sit outside and enjoy a nice glass of wine in the garden patio brings about a totally different experience.
If you happen to go to Little Hill's when the weather isn't all that great then you can enjoy the inside, which is just as beautiful. The atmosphere is laid-back and quiet; it's more elegant than anything else. The people are warm and friendly. And the ambiance is humbling.
I love Little Hill's so much that I try to make my way there at lease once a month. It's a great way to indulge in a nice glass of wine with a delicious side dish of your choice.

Post a CommentThe patio is great but the food we have found to be mediocre. Ordered a bottle of wine and it came to the table open without the cork- the cork was gone-at a winery? Made me wonder.
