And so, numerous women around the world quit their jobs, take a break and give attention to their new role of being the mother of their children. But when their children are little older and start going to school, some of the mothers want to get back to work. But it is not going to be so easy if you don't have a proper plan. So here are some tips for making it smooth and easy for women getting back to job.

Finding a job

1. Getting back to a previous job

Most of the women would be interested in getting back to their previous job. If you are one of them, you can try to find out if your old employer is interested in re-hiring you. But it is possible that your position would have been filled by someone else and they may not have any job available for you at the moment. It is also possible that they take you back, but for a different position. And it is also possible that who were your juniors before, may be your seniors now. So you should be ready for such situations.

2. Getting job at a new work place

First of all, it is important you understand why you want to go back to work. The reasons could be financial, intellectual or social. For example,

If the reason for you getting back to work is financial, then concentrate on getting job that offers good salary and there is also good scope of increasing your position as well as salary with time and of course your hard work.

Or if the reason is social, you can try for a low pressure job or a part-time.

Join some Courses

In this technological world, things change everyday and you need to have latest and right knowledge in your field. So, before finding a job, you have to update yourself on the latest trends and to do so join some useful courses related to your field.

Childcare

If your children go to school, its ok. Otherwise, send them to day care. Also, collect about 10 baby sitters contacts so that when you need, at least one of them is available. It is possible that sometimes all the 10 baby sitters are not available when you really need. So, speak to your mother, sister, sister-in-law or moms in your neighborhood and build a support network so that in emergency you can help each other by taking care of others kids.
