Getting Creative with Your Business Cards

S. Ann
Now that you understand the elements of design, why not get creative with your business cards? How about a magnetic business card? Or an edible business card? How about a business card that can be folded or is shaped to look like one of your products? How about a business card in the shape of your logo?

As long as you don't make the card too cumbersome to hold onto, you can be as creative as you like! This is also a way to separate yourself from your competition.

When designing your business card, you should ask yourself the following questions:

Would my business card be distinguishable from other business cards that were on a table?

Does my business card represent not only my business, but also me?

Have a branded my business fully?

What are ways I can improve my business card?

If I were a client, would I remember my business based on this card?

Even though some of these questions are tough, you have to ask them. This is a great way to brainstorm and come up with ingenious ideas.

LOGO

Your business logo should be present somewhere on your business card. You can stick it in the corner or at the top or bottom of the card. This is a form of branding in which clients will instantly recognize your logo and remember your business name. This is an inexpensive way to market yourself.

Bonus Tip: Use your logo on everything from letter head to envelopes, from pens to boxes that are to be shipped. This will give your logo more branding strength.

Make Your Competition Compete With You

Competition can be troublesome at times. If you market yourself correctly, learn how to brand your business, then you will turn into the competition. After a while, you will forget your ever had any competition.

It all starts with a business card that represents your business well. It is an introduction, it is a small advertisement, and it is a way to communicate the quality of your product or service to your clients.

Since you have to create a business card, why not create one with some pizzazz? Why not show the competition that they should worry about your business? Why tell your clients exactly who you are and how your business can improve their lives? With a business card, you can do all of these things and more.
