Getting Your Free Runescape Membership: A New Outlook

Runescape membership will let you play the full version of the game and offers a zillion other benefits that only members get. Unfortunately, it is far from free, which is the ultimate problem for those of us who really want to be members, but can't pay the fees. Fortunately, however, membership only costs around $8 a month (provided that you pay by PayPal), which is easily attainable by doing a couple of paid surveys online - Or so I thought. It seems like I've either underestimated the craftiness of sites that offer "get rich quick" schemes or I've overestimated my own capabilities.

After reviewing my previous article, I feel obliged to rewrite another one, because it is (unfortunately) basically impossible to get a free Runescape membership by following the previous guide. That's my personal experience anyway. (And I know - I probably should have experimented with the sites before writing that article, rather than believing what I read on the internet.) Hopefully, this new article will offer some insight on earning enough money online to get your free Runescape membership.

Now, about earning money. Previously, I've divided money-making opportunities into three categories - paid surveys, paid-to-write sites and advertisement clicking sites. We'll cover those categories in this article, but I want to introduce two other ways to make money online - by blogging and writing reviews.

1. Paid Surveys

I'm sorry to have recommended gangstergreed.com in my previous article - for many reasons. Firstly, it only accepts members from the US, so if you are from anywhere else around the globe, you can simply kiss your free runescape membership goodbye. Secondly, after spending (wasting) two or three hours on their site doing surveys, imagine how utterly devastated (a bit of an exaggeration) I was to find out that NONE of the surveys I did were approved! I.e. I wasted all of my time, because gangstergreed.com refused to acknowledge that I actually did the surveys (and didn't pay a single cent).

I'd say that both Gainpay and Complete-list-of-paid-survey-sites are simply time wasters too - they simply didn't work for me.

The reason that I love this paid survey site is that it is available to anyone in any corner of the globe! For once, you don't have to live in the US or be an American citizen to take part. The way this site works is that you sign up with their site and fill in ALL of your profiles (so that ciao surveys can match you up with companies that need your opinion). Then, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the wait for emails inviting you to take part in paid surveys. I get about an email a week and I don't always qualify for the surveys, but (thanks to ciaosurveys) I'm only $2 short of my Runescape membership! Ciao surveys pay from about $1 to about $6 for every survey that you take & you are supposed to wait a while for the payment to enter your account, which should take (at the maximum) a week or so. Their minimum payout is $5 and they pay by paypal in your own currency.
Important note: You must log in to your account at ciaosurveys or do a paid survey at least once every six months - otherwise, your account will be zeroed out!

2. Paid-to-write sites

I still love Helium and Triond, mainly because I simply love to write. However, after experimenting with both Helium and Triond for a month, I've discovered that certain articles (like dusty old short stories I wrote two years ago) simply don't get enough views to earn more than a couple of cents, which is definitely not enough for a Runescape membership. The trick is to do a little research in the area you want to write about (because we aren't experts in everything) and to list out websites that you think the reader may need. It's pretty hard to explain, but if you visit this article, you'll understand what I mean. This method works extremely well on Triond, but not so well in Helium, because Triond has niche sites that enable readers find your articles really quickly. Personally, I found that Triond generates more revenue compared to Helium, but I suggest you send your articles to both sites.

This isn't really a paid-to-write site but more of a forum site. You get paid about $0.01 every time you post in their forums & their minimum payout is $15, meaning that you'll have to post 1500 messages before you get your Runescape membership. I tried this site but got sick of posting in their forums after a while. This probably won't work for everyone, but if you like socializing, try this site.

3. Paid to click sites
I suggest that you don't waste your time on paid-to-click sites because there are only a couple of advertisements to view every day and they pay a pathetic $0.01 each. If you are extremely patient, you might reach the minimum payout (usually around $10) in a year. But if you are like me and want your Runescape membership FAST, then this is not the method for you.

4. Get paid to blog
If you are the owner of blog that is at least a month old, why not try writing sponsored blogs (to advertise other people's products) to fund your Runescape membership? I would definitely recommend www.blogsvertise.com and www.payperblog.com.
