Getting Offline Part-Time Job or Business Ideas

Laurie Tam
Internet has come a long way since it has change a majority of stuff in our life and despite that it made things easier for some people such as making money online, there are people out there that hate the idea of working near a computer or illiterate around one. Whatever the case may be, some of these people may prefer working outside of the house where they will get paid for their services. Here are some ideas that I would like to offer of whatever ones will attract you. This may also apply to stay at home moms wanting to work away from their kids or may just love the idea of socializing with others in person and not just online. Most of these can be a great business idea.

1. Babysitting: For moms, they have personal experience on raising kids themselves so I think that they are a perfect candidate. The exception is that there are couples that prefer moms without their own kids when watching theirs. It's best to ask before taking this. For others just wanting extra income, go for it. Not only will you get to learn some stuff before you have kids but also have fun. You only get paid per hour.

2. Cut grass or some other simple household chores that people need: Some people are so busy with their work and such where they tend to neglect their home so they prefer hiring someone to do the household chores. It can be as simple as cutting the grass, mop the floor, do laundry, clean areas, etc. Whatever they need, it doesn't hurt if this becomes your business as well.

3. Canvassing: Meaning that you go door-to-door like the people that stops by your place for charity or magazine purposes to purchase just to help them. It is one of the great marketing idea and one of the simplest since these canvassers get paid in between $10-$20 an hour. Always done during the daytime if you have kids, best to have a sitter to watch them. Some of the other canvassing jobs have it where you ask people for donations to go to causes and such company that is legit is at Dialogue Direct.

4. Give out fliers: Some of these companies are looking for college students where sometimes it is done at some college campuses. Not only is this easy for college students but also for moms, guys and most of these people are in between 20-30 crowds. It is paid per hour and you should definitely check this out since some of these people do pay cash up front by the end of the day. Ask though. If not, then it's worth waiting at least every week or two to get paid.

5. Promotional work aka brand ambassadors: These are very part time and unfortunately, most of these are just temporary and short term. Depending on what it is, the pay can be really great. Most of these pay at least $15 or more an hour but sometimes they also pay commission too depending on what it is like selling something. Brand ambassadors are usually IC meaning independent contractors so if they made at least $600 or more a year, gotta pay for their own taxes.

6. Painting: If you are a painter and love painting houses and such, this is a good way to earn extra money. The lowest pay I saw was $10 an hour and it is possible that they can make more depending on who employ them. This can be a great opportunity to offer this service to others if you know it's in huge demand.

7. Housecleaning: This may be somewhat the same thing as number 2 but with housecleaning, some of these customers have their own cleaning products for you to use. And sometimes you have to have your own depending on what employer you are working for. Another great business to get into since this is a huge demand. People such as senior citizens always need someone to help them with housecleaning.

8. Car washing: Great job to do during the summertime since it's one of the hottest season. Not only will you get a great workout as well as these other ones but also have more fun with washing people's vehicles and make money at the same time. Since it is so hot, some people don't like washing their own vehicle. Can use this to raise money or whatever else you have in mind.

9. Merchandisers and demo workers: Most of these are pretty simple to do and part time working outside of the house. The demo workers have samples to give out and sometimes they demonstrate about different stuff depending on what it is. Some of these demonstrators have to bring their own table to demonstrate stuff. For merchandisers they just work on the merchandise and clean the area up.

These are some simple and great ideas to use on getting some money especially if it is part time. Whatever you chose to do, make sure it is a job worth doing and fun for you.

Great ideas! I used to do offline businesses when I was younger like selling candy. Garage sales can also make you some decent money if you know people who need to get rid of their things but don't want to make the effort of having a garage sale.
