This play is about Sara Hastings, a single New York lawyer in her mid-thirties. Marriage is the furthest thing from Sara's mind, because she's much too involved with her career to consider a man taking up her time and her apartment. Now, unbeknownst to Sara, her somewhat eccentric Aunt Martha has a little something else in mind. Aunt Martha takes matters into her own hand and tries to connect Sara with a young professional man named Brandon Cates who is a Financial Planner. However, there is just one thing wrong with this picture; Brandon is already engaged to be married to another woman. However, this does not deter Aunt Martha as she has Brandon delivered to Sara's apartment one evening and life as Sara knows it is no more.

"Getting Sara Married" is directed by Chris Adams, who is a student at Parkview High School and he is also an Artistic Director for Front & Center Theatre, and now Director for County Seat Players. The cast members include Lesley Davis (Heather Boyd) who is Brandon Cates Fiancé (played by Greg Simons), the endearing Aunt Martha is played by Margaret Masak. The lead in this play who plays Sara Hastings is Linda Place who meets Brandon in an unconventional way with the help of Chuck Mason who plays Noogie Malloy, the master of all things. The Noogie character is simply delightful and lovable at the same time. This 6 foot plus man that would be intimidating to anyone in real life seems to put a smile on your face instead.

This play is well written and keeps you interested. There is a character that comes on the scene that is unexpected. It's Aunt Martha's Chiropractor, played by Mike Yow. Mike has no actual audible lines, but his body language and facial expressions are priceless. This play is easy to follow and filled with lots of laughs as well as tender moments between Sara and the clueless Brandon. This is a play that is perfect for everyone. However, due to some of the content, I would not recommend for children under the age of 16.

"Getting Sara Married" is playing now at the Aurora Theatre, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Check them out online today for more information and coming attractions at www.countyseatplayers.org . The bottom line, great show and great price!
