Getting Verified to Use PayPal

Celtmaiden
EBay and PayPal presents an interesting subject. Most of us deal with PayPal in the Survey and PTR world. Most of the companies we deal with are now paying via PayPal. There are other payment processors out there, but I know very little about how they work. Some of them, to be honest, scare me. If you don't have a PayPal account, and work with surveys or PTR, by all means, you need one. If you wish to buy anything on eBay, it is very helpful to have a PayPal account.

One thing you need to do is verify your account. This is an easy and very safe process. All you need to do is connect your checking OR savings account with your PayPal account. You provide PayPal with your account number through their on-line verification. Within a few days, they put two small deposits into your account, just a few cents each. You log into PayPal and finish the verification process by telling them the amounts you received. Quick, easy, and painless. You are now a 'Verified User' in PayPal, and you will have an easier time shopping in eBay, along with many other shops and on line stores, withdrawing funds, and making payments.

Now comes the tricky part. If you need or want two separate PayPal accounts, you of course will need another email address, since all your connected email addresses in one PayPal account will come through as your main identity in the 'Paper Trail' of your PayPal account. So you will need to keep this email separate from your other PayPal Identity. This is where you will use the Savings or Checking account that you did NOT associate with your first PayPal account. You go through the same steps, and now your new PayPal account is set up, and Verified, once you complete all the steps.

Each PayPal account can have 8 email addresses attached to it.

When it comes to PTR and other services that pay you to do things FOR THEM, this in no way implies it is now OK to create a new account at these sites. Some companies will allow users to share a computer, but not the same physical address, and more often now, most companies will not allow users to share a computer or IP address. So, if you do set up family accounts at 'Paid for **', be prepared to deal with any consequences, since this can commonly be referred to as 'cheating'.

Good Luck in all your dealings with eBay and PayPal.
