Getting What You Want by Focus and Intention

Staying on Target and Manifesting Your Goals Online and Off

Anyone who has not been living under a rock has heard the metaphors; The internet is the new frontier, the internet is to 21 st century publishing what Guttenberg was to publishing in earlier times. It is hard to overestimate the revolutionary effect that the internet is having on communication. The planet is becoming a small town with more and more of its residents gaining the ability to instantly communicate with each other.

AC is a cutting edge expression of this transformation, where each individual is empowered to become his own leader, to publish his own thoughts and feelings and observations, to engage in the global dialogue as an equal, subservient to no one.

But putting yourself into this massive global dialogue also subjects you to a level of noise and distraction that is unparalled. If you are not clear about your goals, you are bound to be buffetted about from hyperlink to hyperlink, picking up shiny objects like some kind of chrome electro crow with ADD. Everyone and his brother is trying to sell you something, recruit you for their get-rich-quick scheme or save you from eternal damnation.

So in order to make proper use of this powerful tool, to work efficiently in Cyberspace, it is absolutely critical that we have very well defined goals, that we know exactly what we want to achieve. In fact, I daresay that really and truly defining your goal is half way to achieving it.

Now I must admit my bias here. I am really talking about spiritual goals, not material ones. Of course there is nothing wrong with material goals, but it is not news that having material goal without a foundation of spiritual goals can lead to a lot of stuff and an empty life devoid of value.

You may have heard Wayne Dyer talking about the "Power of Intention." He did a book on the subject and a great PBS feature on the same subject. http:////www.beliefnet.com/story/141/story_14161_1.html

The teachings of Abraham-Hicks place great importance on carefully defining what you want and thus magnetizing yourself to attract it. http://www.abraham-hicks.com/teachings_brief.php
