Synopsis: The TAPS team investigate two airplane hangars at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii; looking for the ghosts who were killed during the Japanese attack in the 1940s.
What I liked about this episode: As far as guest investigators go, you can't go wrong with Destination Truth's Josh Gates. I'm not sure why, but I feel he brought a lot more credibility to the investigation than some of the other guests that were there.
It was also pretty cool seeing both the airplanes that are kept as part of the museum and the bullet holes that remain in the windows. I probably will never get a chance to travel to Hawaii and do appreciate being able to at least see that on TV.
What I didn't like about this investigation: To be continued? Really? I have put up with a lot from this show recently, questionable evidence and annoying guest investigators to name a couple. But, dragging out the investigation so there was no time for evidence review and then telling me I had to wait until August was a bit too much. In fact, I'm considering not watching in August out of spite. And, let's face it, that whole thing at the end, with Steve calling Jason and Grant just as they were wrapping up, seemed a bit staged.
I also still have the same basic complaint I've been having for a while; the TAPS team seems to be going through the motions at times. We have investigative techniques like the flashlight thing (why does the camera always zoom out when the flashlight does something rather than show us a close-up to prove the flashlight isn't being tampered with). But, you don't see them taking that extra step; such as having the thermal imaging camera aimed at the flashlights. And, when's the last time you heard any of the investigators do a detailed EVP session?
The only exception to that might be Adam and I think he might be getting a bit too overly excited at times; like he's over compensating.
Final Opinion: I was actually starting to miss this show and was excited by the new episode. But, sadly, I don't miss it as much now.
