Ghost Hunters Live Vs. Ghost Adventures Live

Ghost Hunters Live Left This Fan Disappointed

Kenzy England
When I tuned in to watch last night's season premier of Ghost Hunters, the shows 100th episode and live event, I was disappointed. Who else was expecting the TAPS team to do a live investigation? Of course, this explained why the event was just two-hours long. Not that I minded the Q & A with TAPS team members, but when a show is billed as being live, that is what fans want and expect.

Case in point: Take the Ghost Adventures 7-hour live event on Halloween, for example.

Fans followed Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, Aaron Goodwin, and their guests as they investigated the Trans-Alleghany Lunatic Asylum. In real time, fans heard what the GAC guys heard, saw what they were seeing, and were able to monitor - online - rooms where cameras had been set up, allowing fans to send messages to the show if they saw something that needed to be looked at. The show was as interactive as a show could possibly be.

Back to the Ghost Hunters live event:

In light of previous accusations that TAPS and Ghost Hunters may not be on the up-and-up 100 percent of the time, one would think Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, and SyFy would want to debunk nay-sayers by doing a completely live event - investigation with a question and answer session following the show.

Another disappointment came during the Q & A portions of the show in part because we didn't hear out of investigator Amy Bruni but once.

In a tweet on Twitter, Bruni said, "I know I don't talk a lot guys. Don't forget I'm still the newest TAPS team member :) plus if you watched on syfy.com after I talked a lot."

Tell me if I'm wrong, but Amy has been with TAPS and Ghost Hunters for some time now and is considered to be a core TAPS team member. She is also a long-time paranormal investigator and researcher. She deserves to be heard just as much as Kris Williams.

Like many others, I'm a fan of the Ghost Hunters franchise. However, their live season premier did not excite me as much as I thought it would, especially after so much hype surrounding the event. I was left unfulfilled.

What do you think? Did the guys and gals deliver, or did the season premier leave you disappointed in the show?

I prefer Ghost Adventures. I just did an article comparing the two. I could go on and on about the differences. I think that Ghost Hunters is boring in comparison.

    (finish first comment)

I myself have experienced paranormal events and know first hand how it makes you feel. I am educated with a degree in psychology. You have the right to your opinion but not the right to be rude, arrogant, and judgmental to those who have a difference of opinion. Something else to ponder, why do Catholics have priest trained in exorcisms, are they faking it when they say some one is possessed?

For those of you who do not believe that there are ghost or spirits who are walking among us because there is nothing to substantiate this phenomenon, I want to ask if you believe in God or that Jesus arose from the dead? There is nothing scientific that can positively say they exist but hear say of ancient readings and a book that was written in a time when drinking wine and spirits were a daily routine. Even the Bible talks of drinking in rituals. We all know how alcohol distorts the mind. Herbs were also used back then to open the mind, much like the Indians did for life quests. Do you believe in angels or the Devil who was a fallen angel. Do you believe that miracles do exist? Have you never had some thing happen to you that you can't explain? You have the right to your opinion but does not make them right to a point that you can be rude, judgmental, and arrogant towards some one who may believe. I myself have experienced paranormal events and know first hand how it makes you

John 3:16 Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you plan on writing reviews in the future please forward me a copy of your college degree so we can see where not to go to college because your spelling is pathetic.

lastly I will offer $25,000 guaranteed in a check or money order in a seperate account for any TV show that can prove there is life after death (i.e., Ghosts - NOT DEMONS and evil spirits) and will offer another $25,000 for anyone that will let us come to verify as a 3rd independent party, to witness and experience all so called evidence (which should never be called eveidence unless there is undisputale proof, which this stuff is not, so leave a number here and we'll call other wise this is all to make money and suckker everyone into watching

i wanted to finish my statement ..do any of these people have a high school education or college degree and would like to know what they are...just roto rooter guys?...not sure about Ghhost adventures or Ghost lab but seems like every one is on a QUEST...paranormal States was never mentioned here and is also terrible...come on people, your delaing with fallen angels, demons and spirits of what God created not dead humans who eithergo to heaven or sleep in the earth until judgement...and if I am wrong who created these spirits, demons and spirits...they are not people stuck, that is a lie by "satan" plain and simple

  • john 3:1610/30/2010

all of these "shows", need a third party independent - verification with sicentific researchers who have PHd's in psychology, physics, geology etc...you all must remember..these shows are written with a beginning, middle and ending...if they dont produce something, the advertisers will pull out and there goes the muuuulllllahhhh...also, remember Taps got taken in California by people who set them up, also, TAPs never answered the reason why Steve heard the toy in the bag "go off" on its own with out opening it up...it was remote controlled and no one did a thing...lastly, these places (haunted buildings) know in advance that all these shows are coming, so they have plenty of time to set things up, leave small speakers the size of ear phones and also use electronic devices to interferre with the equipment they use...I am not saying all these shows are fake but, come on its all logic...as for any of these people, what are TAPS Gjost Adventures and Ghost Lab credentials? Do they have high

Ghost Hunters who? Oh the debunkers! Funny how this new season they have all kinds of evidence where they really never did before! I guess Ghost Adventures is giving the Ghost Hunters a run for their money! Ghost Adventures live 7 hour Halloween show was fantastic, and I do hope they have another 7 hour live show this year also.
