Ghost Hunters: A Sneak Peak at the Fall Season

hosts and ghost hunters are everywhere these days, and part of that new surge of interest is due to the Sci Fi channel hit show, Ghost Hunters. TAPS, The Atlantic Paranormal Society, has shown the public that ghost hunting does not have to be all about screaming and running in terror, but can be approached in a disciplined manner. TAP's policy is to try to debunk whatever so-called paranormal actvity they can, and see what's left. Not every home or other haunted location yields anything unexplained, but the ones that do are fascinating. From Electronic Voice Phenomena to the rare but mesmerizing full-body apparition, TAPS has experienced it all and shared it with us.

So, what are Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Steve Gonsalves, and Dave Tango up to this season? Well, for one thing, they've been filming on the West Coast around Seattle, and south to San Francisco. In San Francisco, they explored the Presidio, an area with over 400 historic buildings. The Presidio has seen a lot of history from war to the World's Fair, so, while no one is saying what they did or didn't find, it should be good.

While in Seattle, the team investigated the Moore Theatre, Seattle oldest theatre, where much activity has been reported. Much to Steve's dismay, the team also planned a trip to the top of the Space Needle. Did he go? Steve has no fear of ghosts, but his fear of heights is well known and very vocal, so my guess is no way!

While no one yet knows what shows will be aired, it's a good possibility that the Presidio and the Moore Theatre will show up at some point.

Writing in the August issue of TAPS Paranormal Magazine, Grant Wilson states,

"We captured some things on film that we can't explain-some things we are just going to put out there
and see what the public thinks."

Steve Gonsalves added,

"We have caught phenomena that cover the whole spectrum of paranormal activity."

At the moment, the plan is for new Ghost Hunters episodes to start airing in mid-September. There will be a new live show on Halloween, due to the enthusiastic response to last year's all-nighter at the Stanley Hotel. The location of the new show is yet to be revealed, but it's bound to be intense. It stands to reason that the Sci Fi channel will want to send them somewhere well-known and with a good chance of activity for that one.

Along with the West Coast investigations, TAPS is now continuing to investigate in the New England area as the season approaches, so some of those investigations will show up either this season or next, at Sci Fi's discretion.

While Brian has left the Ghost Hunter team ("We wish Brian the best of luck," Jason said at DragonCon 07 Labor Day weekend,) I'm happy to report that Donna is back this season as case manager and sometimes investigator. So, join Jason and Grant and their team for another season of thrills, chills, and real, honest paranormal investigation.
