Ghost Lab on the Discovery Channel

The Newest Paranormal Research Show to Hit the Airwaves

Joetown
Fans of the paranormal and those who thrill to things that go bump in the night have one more reason to turn on the television as The Discovery Channel debuts the newest paranormal reality show, "Ghost Lab".

Joining the ranks of already known ghost hunters and paranormal investigators like TAPs' Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes, the college students of "Paranormal State", the English team led by Yvette Fielding, and others, Texas brothers Brad and Barry Klinge are taking their paranormal investigations to the tube.

Since 2007 when the brothers founded Everday Paranormal, the team has investigated more than 70 haunted or would-be haunted sites. Like other teams, notably the TAPs crew, the Klinges use state-of-the-art technology to hunt ghosts.

They travel with their equipment housed in a 24-foot car hauler and their collection of up to date tech tools is called "The Ghost Lab". The car hauler also includes their own power source and allows them to test results in real time, not hours or days after the fact. Their arsenal of equipment includes all the things most of the other paranormal investigators use - and some they don't.

Their cameras can shoot up to 300 feet away in complete darkness as well as pan for a 180 degree view of any activity. They also use a Smart Board, flat screen televisions, and more.

Barry Klinge, the older of the two brothers, is a former Navy man with time served in the first Gulf War. He brings his education - a degree from the University of San Antonio - with his lifelong personal experiences to Everyday Paranormal, now a full-time business endeavor for both himself and younger brother Brad.

Brad has also made Everyday Paranormal his full-time occupation. He is credited with filming an entire ghost regiment at a Civil War battle site in 1990.

These ex-football players take their new business seriously - and they do investigations free of charge. Together they have investigated famous haunted sites like Gettysburg and Alcatraz as well as home town houses and even apartments.

Now they bring their state-of-the-art approach to a new audience, vying with the now famous Ghost Hunters Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes for ratings and audience.

Their motto is "Fear Nothing" and viewers will see them live out the motto as they investigate cases on television.

The show, "Ghost Lab" premiers on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10pm Eastern/9pm Central on the Discovery Channel.

More information about the brothers Klinge and their Ghost Lab on wheels can be found at the Discovery Channel site at their show area or at their own Everyday Paranormal website.

The Discovery Channel show site offers some interactive quizzes, a ghost hunter glossary, and much more.

Fans of paranormal reality are sure to tune in for this new program and other viewers will find appeal in the no-nonsense, down to earth, everyday approach these brothers from Texas take toward the paranormal.

Don't miss "Ghost Lab", Tuesdays at 10pm, Eastern, 9pm Central, on the Discovery Channel!

I saw this show for the first time this weekend. I find Brad offensive. He doesnt seem to address the spirits with any respect. When one hunter asked an entity to let him open a door, it did. Then Brand came up and said Open the Damn Door! So crass!
I also think it is overly dramatic when they have the client telling the hunter in some half lit scene, what is going on in the place that they want checked out. It is sappy.
I found Brad so annoying that after 10 minutes I was talking back to the television. They arent as proffessional as GH on Sci-Fi. I have never seen GH put a woman in a tub with no clothes on. It makes me wonder if it is the ghost that is drawn to this tackiness or just the so called hunters. The entire thing comes across as fake and phoney!

Yet another abuse of science and the scientific method by perpetuating an unprovable premise -using what they call science.
It's not science because the premise of an afterlife isn't verifiable. It comes right down to belief. That's why it's called paranormal. It's not falsifiable.
Discovery Channel should be ashamed of themselves. I don't blame them for want of higher ratings. But this is ridiculous.

Look%2C I%27m into this stuff and couldn%27t wait to see that Gettsyburg footage of the regiment. Then we find out he %27shut the camera off%27 just before they disappeared. Come on man%2C even if it%27s true%2C that give no credibility to the show and makes it look like BS. If you don%27t have the evidence%2C don%27t show it and try to convince people of what you saw. Talk is cheap.
