Like the wind in the night
Blowing through our memories
Sweeping, tumbling, voices of the past
Smiles and laughter
Fears and tears
Scents of long ago
The rain and warm sunshine of days and nights past
Stirring our emotions,
Awakening our dreams,
As the wind stirs and awakens
The ghost in the trees
Time can be a thief
Stealing our life each day
Like the wind in its fury
Breaking branches and carrying
Part of our lives away
But also in time is eternity
The keeper and watch over our souls
Forever guarding memories
Alive on the wind
Time gently pulls us along
Like the wind in the night
To the smiles and laughter
Fears and tears,
Scents of a new day
That will linger in our memories tomorrow,
Not to fade away
Time sweeping, tumbling,
The winds of change
Stirring our emotions
Awakening our dreams
As the wind stirs and awakens
The ghosts in the trees
