Ghost Whisperer Heads to the Darkside

Some Scary Fall TV in Store with Melinda Gordon

Lisa Hoskins
Fall TV is promising with the show Ghost Whisperer, that will head where it hasn't gone before. To the darkside, as Melinda searches for more information about her family's history and how it relates to the town of Grandview.

For the most part, Ghost Whisperer has been staying on the lighter side of the spirit world as Melinda Gordon, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, helps earthbound spirits deal with issues that are keeping them tied to the physical plane of existence instead of crossing over to the other side. This paranormal show, based upon two psychic mediums James VanPraagh and Mary Ann Winkowski, is done tastefully and gives insight to how psychic mediums deal with their daily lives that intertwine with those of ghosts. Melinda has to be careful about who she reveals her gift to, and in last year's season she finally told her friend Delia, who also works for her at her antique store, just what her gift is. Delia had some disbelief and uneasiness at first, but is now accepting of Melinda's 'other job'.

A few strange events happened during last year's episodes which made me wonder if the show would take a turn into the darker side of the spirit world. Strange men who appeared to be after Melinda began showing up and causing some problems, and a lot of questions for Melinda. In the season finale, she had a near-death experience which revealed some new information to her about her family and her family's history. On September 28th, 2007 CBS will air the first episode of the new season, and my guess is that Melinda's life is about to get more hectic than it was before. Secrets will be revealed about her family as she searches for the truth that centers around the Grandville town that she lives in.

In the Universe there is something called Universal law. One law is that there must be balance in everything. Where there is good, there must be bad, where there is light, dark. The fact that Ghost Whisperer is heading to the opposite side of the light proves that this show is based more on reality than most people would assume. I for one am glad that the show is heading in this direction, and I am looking forward to watching the new season. I know it won't let me down.

why has Ghost whisper been taken off the air? I watched that show faithfully every Friday, there is not many shows I watch, they all have been taken off the air. There are to many reality shows on that don't even matter to me or even pertain to me,If reality is what people want then they should give me my own show.I would rather watch TV with a plot . Thanks .

I also wondered if the show would be leading to a darker side when I saw the men after Melinda.
