Most of the experts are predicting that indeed the Patriots will win. In most cases they will probably be correct, but I have watched the Patriots almost not win some games. Those teams did, not by trying to outscore them, but by keeping pressure on those key players. Arguably, there are lots of them to keep track, but the key is keeping the pressure on Tom Brady. If the Giants can keep Tom Brady off kilter they can beat them.
The Giants are also capable of scoring with weapons such as Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Plaxico Burress. They have beaten their other playoff teams. Burress had an excellent game against the Packers with 151 receiving yards, and Bradshaw and Jacobs both rushing for touchdowns. Against the Cowboys, wide receiver Amani Toomer had 2 receiving touchdowns, and Jacobs had one rushing touchdown. They are showing that they too have weapons and are doing just what they need to do to win the game.
New England has become too big and cocky. With coach Bill Belichick choosing to not sit his players even when the game has already been won, is showing on his players. The margin with which they have won each game is less now, than at the beginning of the season. The Patriots beat the Chargers by a mere 9 points to go to the Super Bowl, and the Jaguars by 11 points to go to the division game. The first game of the season they beat the Jets by 24 points. In the second week when they played the Chargers they beat them by 24 points. Who knows if the extra week off has helped the stamina of this team.
If the Giants want to win they have to step up and play like its theirs for the taking. I think that they can do it.

Post a CommentYou were point on, jaz. All the Giants had to do was keep Tom Brady off balanc and keep pressure on those key players (like Moss). Good job.
