They say these mountains are known for their Bigfoot sightings and if you were anywhere near Memorial Park in Woodland Park, Colorado last Saturday, then you no doubt, probably saw giants roaming the park. Okay, so they aren't Bigfoot, but they are giants that stand 8 feet tall! If you were one of the unlucky folks around town who missed this giant introduction, or you do not live near Woodland Park, Colorado, not to fear, you'll have another opportunity tomorrow, (07/11/2009), at Mainstreet Makeover!

For those who are unable to go to tomorrows event and will be reading this online, I will include some photos from last week, and then tomorrow after the big event has ended, I will put together all of my photos from the day, and write you all a nice piece about Mainstreet Makeover, all the events of the day, and of course, those giants will be making an appearance once again, so I will have more photos of them.

So, what are these giants all about? They are all about The Brother's Grim Fairytale, "The Brave Little Tailor", and this years Jr Woodland Players production of the play, "The Brave Little Tailor". Opening night will be on July 24th, 2009 at 7:00pm. Show schedule is as follows: 7/24, 25, 31, and August 1, at 7:00pm. On July 25th we will be having our "Giant Dinner at 5:00pm. The dinner cost $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids, and includes, dinner and the show, as well as a benefit auction full of really cool stuff! We even have an artist that is donating some awesome items!!!

Tickets cost $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for kids under 16 and seniors over 65. You can also buy a lot of 6 tickets for $24.00. Ticket are available at: The Ice Cream Parlor, Kelly's Office Supply, and the Woodland Park Library. Don't forget about the dinner too, $20.00 for adults, and $15.00 for kids, and a table for 6 will cost you only $100.00!

Who are the Jr Woodland Players? Jr Woodland Players provide school age children in Teller County with opportunities to experience a professional theatre atmosphere. The participants expand their creativity in a safe and healthy environment by exploring who they are and building self-esteem through a variety of activities such as singing, dancing, acting and set design. They also participate in fundraising activities to benefit the program. The organization would like to create a life-long foundation for enjoying and appreciating the arts.

So let's all support the Jr Woodland Players, have a great time, and see a really cool play, complete with 8 foot tall GIANTS!!!
