1) Giants-Vikings Head to Head
The current winter freeze has forced the NFL game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings to be moved to Monday at a neutral site. Since 2005, the two teams have played 4 times with the Vikings winning all four. During that streak, there had been two close games and two blowouts. The last time New York and Minnesota met was at the end of last season. The Vikings dominated that game, winning by a score of 44-7.
2) Eli Manning vs. Brett Favre
The postponed contest features two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks in Eli Manning and Brett Favre. Both QBs have struggled in certain stretches this year. For the season, Manning has thrown for 2982 yards with 23 TDs and a mediocre QB rating of 89. His main problem this year has been the huge number of interceptions. The Giants' quarterback has to date yielded 17 INTs. Similarly, Brett Favre has turned over the ball 18 times compared to only 10 touchdowns. Statistically speaking, Manning has been the better quarterback this season.
3) Tom Coughlin vs. Leslie Frazier

The match-up between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings is a tale of two NFL teams. The Giants is in a battle with Philadelphia for the NFC East crown, while the Vikings is fighting for a playoff spot. Tom Coughlin's team is having a superior season, offensively and defensively. New York is 5th in points scored, 6th in rushing yards, and 12th in passing. Furthermore, the Giants have recorded at least 28 points in a game six times this year. Coughlin's crew is even more impressive defensively. The team ranks 2nd in opponent passing yards (which ought to give Favre's some serious troubles) and 7th in rushing defense.
After a horrible start to the season, the Minnesota Vikings have settled down quite a bit. Since Leslie Frazier took over as head coach, the team is undefeated with a 2-0 record. Statistically, Minnesota is in the middle of the pack in most areas. The team ranks 19th in passing, 8th in rushing yards, 12th in opponent passing yards, and 4th in rushing defense. What has hurt the Vikings is the lack of consistency. The team was superb in their 5 wins, but was downright poor in their 7 losses. Frazier's crew will need an exceptionally strong game from its defense to win this contest.
My prediction for the 2010 NFL regular season game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings: the Giants beat Minnesota 24-14. Kickoff time for the game is 7:20 PM EST. The game will be played at Ford Field.
