Gift Your Father Some Love... This Father's Day

Pratz
It can be any day in the calendar but when its Father's day, its all the more special. Father's are the most taken for granted beings. They do not ask for anything in return so we do not care to give anything back as well. But this Father's Day make it an extra happening by choosing one of the best and most personalised gifts ever and give your dad that much needed love.

1. Blast from the past - One that i tried and worked wonders was throwing a suprise party for Dad. No regular stuff but a month long preparation where you make a list of all his school, college and office chums and call them over for a blast from the past. Nothing can cheer father's up but to see friends with whom he may not have been in touch with for a long time.

2. Picture perfect - Pull out the retro box from the attic and and tear out your father's childhood pictures. See if you can ask his friends for some rare gems that they may have and compile them together. Now you can do various things with these pictures - blow it up on a vinyll and enlarge to make a wallpaper and paste it on his bedroow wall when he's out on work, may be print a tee shirt so that he can wear it when he goes out with his friends, simply make a picture frame in black and white with personalised handwritten messages from people in the pics.

3. Note It! - one of my all time favorite gifts for dad has been a personalised note for him. Take time, think and write something straight from your heart. Nothing can be as genuinely emotional as a personal message. Write on a decorative peice of paper better so if you decorate it yourself. Roll it up and place it in a box and fill the box with chocolates, 2 tickets to you dad's favorite game and tidbits that he likes. Keep the stuff close to his wallet so he notices it but least expects. Stand back and see the joy on his face.

Whatever you do make sure you do it yourself and personalise it as much as you can because that's when your dad will realise how special he is to you. Ofcourse nothing to beat the good ol' magical words "i love you dad"!!!
