Gift Giving Made Simple II

(The Sequel)

This plan for having a happy (rather than a hectic) holiday is a simple one:

The first step is to decide on an item to give all the people on your gift list. Yes, I said "item", as in singular. There are many gifts which would be appropriate for everyone on your list. Just think how easy your shopping would be if you only had to come up with one gift idea.

The second step is to determine colors and/or sizes for each recipient.

Spend an hour or two with your computer or phone or an afternoon at the mall and your holiday shopping is done!

Here are some ideas and sources for gifts that everyone on your list will enjoy:

Gifts Under $75

100% Cashmere Woven Scarves are sold at Lands End. The colors available are camel heather, spice brown, black, iris, ivory, true navy, charcoal heather, rich red and multi-check.

A Deluxe Shiatsu Food Massager from the Sharper Image sells for $59.99.

Gifts Under $50

Available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes and in open and ziptop models, Lands End offers totes in natural canvas and eight shades of colored canvas from $17 to $39. The bags can also be personalized for a small additional charge.

Cashmere-lined Lambskin Leather Gloves are also available at Lands End. The gloves are $44.50 and come in spice brown, black, and true navy. (Returns or exchanges can be made at all Sears stores that sell Lands End clothing.)

Who wouldn't want a warm seat on a cold winter day? The Sharper Imagine has a heated car seat cushion for $39.99.

Lands End has ski gloves for men in four colors and for women in six different colors for $32.50.

Gifts Under $25

Lands End sells fleece hats and gloves for $15.50 and $18.50. Fleece ear wraps are $25.00. They are machine washable and available in a virtual rainbow of colors.

Picture frames make great gifts for everyone on your list. Personalize the frames with a photo of the recipient.

The Sharper Image sells queen-sized pillows with MicroOne ® technology (which blocks allergens) for $24.99.

Gifts Under $10

Russell Stover has many different sized boxes of their delicious chocolates. Keep a couple of extra boxes on hand for hostess gifts. Russell Stover chocolates are available in discount stores, department stores and grocery stores.

Bath and Body has scented antibacterial moisturing hand lotions and foaming sanitizers for $4 and scented antibacterial hand soap for $5 - a welcome gift during cold and flu season.
