Gift from Heaven

My Children

PenPress
I love my children
They are the gift from heaven.
The two in many ways differ
God had best of both worlds to offer !

My son draws a lot of admiration
He is known for avoiding complication.
My daughter is very caring
She is famous for being daring.

My "Mini Me" shows more affection
While my son boasts of perfection.
I tell him : " why do you mind?
Learn how to let her be a child."

At times though she seems quicker
But she has my son as the teacher !
She gets more credit than she deserves
Actually, it's the brother's ways she preserves !

The parents' values to portray
Both of them have their unique way.
They fight more than they play
But become friends by the end of the day !

Being a mother I can't help noticing
How differently they are growing.
Cannot let that influence my action
I will provide them with equal education.

A mother cannot have a favorite
Want to make it definite,
So that both of them succeed
And help others in need.

My son and daughter
How different they are !
I love my children
They are the gift from heaven.

I love the way you have described the beauty of both your gems, the differences and the symbiotic relationships of the strengths. The love, warmth and understanding of a mother just flows through. Lovely kids. God bless them and their warm relationship always.

Your poem and your children are both equally beautiful. You must be very caring mother. Very touching. I am sure you are preserving this piece, which Tazwar and Samiha will cherish, when they grow up. Congrats!
