Gift ideas for Apple and Mac fanboys (and fangirls)

A quick list of some ideas for the Apple lover in your life. As Apple continues to produce cutting edge products that merge style and functionality with a "just works" mentality, the number of users continues to increase. Here are some great gift ideas for the Apple user who goes beyond just "user" and is a hardcore fan of Apple products.

Gift cards: The easy one for sure. A gift card to iTunes or to the Apple Store is great. They can purchase whatever they'd like and this is good for hard to shop for individuals.

iPods: You can buy an iPod Touch, an iPod Nano, or an iPod Shuffle. You can also purchase the iPod Classic for the music lover who has 10s of thousands of songs. One nice touch to these gifts for the Apple fan is you can custom engrave the back of the device with your own message, their name, or a saying they'd enjoy.

iPads: If you have a slightly bigger budget the iPad is one of the most impressive devices out there. Plus you can have this device engraved as well giving it a personal touch.

iPhones: If you have AT&T or the person has service they don't like, get them an iPhone complete with service. With this be careful as you don't want to force the person into a lengthy contract. Note: The iPhone will eventually become available on multiple carriers, keep an eye out.

Macbooks, iMacs, Mac Pros: If you can afford it and the person you want to buy for could really use an upgrade consider buying them one of Apple's laptops or desktop computers. With Apple, even the lowest priced model is a quality product and a purchase any Apple fanboy or girl will love.

Accessories: If the Apple fan in your life already has the latest and greatest Apple products, you can still buy them a great gift to support their Apple collection. Cases, headphones, external drives (like Apple's Time Machine), wireless keyboards/mice, speakers, and software are all perfect examples. You can purchase these direct from Apple or from third party sellers.

Subscriptions: You can purchase a subscription to Mac related publications such as MacWorld, keeping your Apple fan up to date on all things Mac. A subscription to Apple's Mobile Me service gives the person the ability to access their computer content remotely.

This guide covers a lot of the products an Apple fanboy or Mac fangirl will love to get on their birthday or during the holidays. This writer, website, and publisher have no connection to Apple and the gift ideas are provided as suggestions without affiliation to Apple.
