Gold is one of the best gifts ever. In a way, it's like a time machine. Gold doesn't ever really lose value, it feels solid and heavy when you touch it, and it looks good. Real good. A nice gold coin is probably best, but gold is gold. Some folks believe just having gold will attract more money, so when the company starts bringing in more revenue, you can take the credit.

Gift Idea #2 - A Day At the Spa
If your boss is a cranky, uptight pleasure to work for, a nice relaxing spa treatment is in order. It will get him or her out of the office for a while, and hopefully make working for "the (wo)man" a little more pleasant.

Gift Idea #3 - Picture in Crystal
There is nothing like a holographic picture of your boss's favorite thing (himself?) engraved in glass to liven up an office. I always say the best gifts are things people would never buy for themselves. Your boss probably doesn't already have one, and since it's (likely) going to be a picture of him or her, you don't have to worry about your boss throwing it away or "losing" it.

Okay, not really a million dollars. More like a one million dollar bill with your boss's picture on it. You can order one of these surprisingly cheap, so you may want to give several so your boss can pass them out as business cards or just for kicks.
