Gift Ideas for Your Crush on Valentine's Day

Aiden of the Tower
Buying gifts for your crush can be harder to do then you boyfriend or girlfriend. After all, you haven't gotten to the point where he or she is already with you. There are several options you can do to send them gifts. It is a good rule of thumb not to spend a lot of money. You have no idea how your gift will be received and you may make the one you are seeking feel awkward if you send an expensive gift. Keep it romantic, inexpensive, and heartwarming. You must decide whether or not you want to do it anonymously or not. If you are seeking his or her attention, anonymous only works if you eventually reveal yourself. It is best to include your name and or identity, and some of the gifts on this list require it since they seek to take it to the next level.

Flowers and Plants

There are time honored gifts that Valentine's Day is truly full of. However, these gifts still remain romantic and touching. Flowers is just one such gift. Remember that red roses means love, and it would probably be best to send a statement a little less powerful. There are a wide variety of choices including carnations, pink or white roses, or a beautiful mixed bouquet. While this gift is often sent to women, it is not an inappropriate gift for men. You can do bolder and less feminine flowers to sent to a man. If you are worried about spending your money on something that doesn't last or want something more manly you can always buy a potted plant. It is best to pick out of the easy to grow category, this way it is easy to keep alive no matter what the recipients growing abilities are.

You can find flowers and plants at a wide variety of locations these days. You can find them at the grocery store, Walmart, the florist and even the Internet. They come in a wide variety of prices depending on type, packaging, and delivery method. It is true that you can spend hundreds of dollars getting fancy plants or huge extravagant bouquets. However, this gift can be a few dollars, so one doesn't have to feel limited by their pocket book. Since your crush is someone you want to give a gift to, but don't want to spend a ton of money giving it, go small and beautiful instead of over whelming and extravagant.

Chocolates and Candies

Another great time honored Valentine's Day gift is the gift of chocolates or other candies. This can be a great gift to give your crush. Once again you have a wide variety of choices. It is true that you can pick up Hersey's Kisses, and this is certainly a good option, but you can also get as exciting as chocolates made at specialty shops. Often there are candy shops or sweet shops somewhere in your area. Going there and picking out special treats that way can be one great option. You also have the option of getting some off of the Internet. There you can find a great deal of variety and a ton of options. Have fun trying to pick out things your crush would enjoy.

Stuffed Animals

Stuffed animals are another option that is somewhat of a tradition. A small "Be My Sweetheart" Bear can be a great gift for a crush. You can find these types of items all around as Valentine's Day approaches. Pick out something you think your crush will like. It doesn't have to be something that he or she will keep forever, just something to let them know that you like them and would like to know them better.

Gift Baskets

Gift baskets are becoming all the rage. They can include a huge variety of stuff. You can buy beautiful and elegant gift baskets online, or you can make your own. Try and centralize your gift basket around a theme that you think your crush will enjoy and include small items that fill that theme. Or you can find great ideas at a shop that specializes in gift baskets. Some options are Holiday Gifts and Gift Baskets, GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and DesignItYourself Gifts and Baskets. Or you can find even more options by searching Valentine's Gift Baskets.

Poetry

Poetry can be a great way to express how you feel and what you are thinking. You have a lot of different options here. You can buy a book and give the book. You can find a card, or make a card on the computer. You can even make a fancy printed page with the poem. Or you could write it out. Or use it in a letter or note. You can use a poem you found, or even one that you wrote. Whichever method you choose to deliver the gift, make sure you put in the time to find the right one. You want the poem to say what you feel and think, nothing more and nothing less.

The Gift of Relaxation

Life is hectic, difficult, and of course stressful for most of us. It is true that we are always busy and often overworked. Why not give your crush the day of relaxation. There are a few options here. You could send them for a pedicure, manicure, facial, a day at the spa, or a massage. If you wish you could make it a trip for two and come along to relax with your crush, however it is best if you are at least friends with your crush before you give such a gift.

Tickets for Two

If your crush is someone you know and you are certain that they are not attached to someone a great option for a Valentine's Day gift is tickets for two. You can purchase tickets to so many different things and find a way to invite your crush. It might be his favorite game, be it hockey or baseball, whatever it may be. Or a ball. Or a movie. Or the museum. Whatever you do, try to make it something your crush would like to do. If he is a huge sports fan and hates art, don't go to an art showing. If she is a huge history fan, but you hate it, buy tickets to the museum anyway. Make it about your crush and be excited that you can go along as well.

Dinner for Two

Another option is to ask your crush to go to dinner with you. This is best done at a cozy location, somewhere romantic. Make sure you get reservations ahead of time, since Valentine's Day is a huge day of eating out and enjoying romantic atmospheres. It used to be that this was a male only type of gift. However, it doesn't have to be that way anymore. We are past the day and age where the guy must pay and women can feel free to invite their crush out to eat just as well as a man inviting his.

Whoever your crush is, and whatever you think might come of it, there is a gift for you. It doesn't matter your price range, there is something you can get. It doesn't even matter if you do remain anonymous. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy your time here, and give whatever gift you choose, from your heart.
