1. Space movie classics. A sure bet for any nerd. Space Odyssey 2001 is a classic of a future we've lived to see. They can argue the merits of what the government has hidden that pertains to this movie and all the advances we haven't seen as normal people.
The Day The Earth Stood Still. A beautiful piece of early classic to fill the imagination of exploration to other worlds when our own ends. No one can resist the beauty of a true black and white classic with hero's and ladies in distress. A movie predicting our own demise by the technology we brought on ourselves.
Any version of any movie about the future or space travel. Check out movies and documentaries regarding space travel in the future and inventions in the works. Robots and flying cars are just one step away for any geek dreaming of his part in it's reality.
2. Star Wars! But not just any Star Wars items. If you are going to invest money search internet stores for classic Star Wars statues. They are special edition creations ranging in price from as low as $100.00 to as high as $1200.00 and more. These are true collectables that would be displayed but never leave the box.
3. Limited Edition Star Wars Weapons. Also a great investment. Well made and special order they are made of good material with display mountings for his wall. He will be the envy of every fan across his world of geeks and nerds. He will be well respected for having an aunt with such future sight, great taste and a great body.
4. For the comic book fan check out graphic novels. A step up from comic books and for the older teenager or adult. Graphic violence, sex and gore in the very best of every superhero's life many of these books become collectables. But they are read and re read many times.
5. Check online at comiccom.com for tickets to one of the largest comic book conventions in the United States. Each year in July they gather in one place for products, displays, costumes, prizes and special guest of famous comic book artist and sci fi actors and actresses from the world over. Make sure you arrange travel and ticket early, because believe it or not hotels fill quickly. They need to arrive one day in advance to sign in and gather information to plot out their course. You will have undying gratitude if you can arrange for this gift!
6. Costumes from all sci fi movies. But the biggest is Star Wars, Superman, Xmen and Spiderman. They can be the good guys or the bad guys and if you provide them with a couple of choices so much the better! They will be able to fulfill their lonely nights with others like themselves in role games of hero's rescuing the world. Most geeks and nerds are not that lonely. There is plenty of female company with the same interest so don't feel to sorry for them. They Do have a love life available.
7. A gift card to their favorite comic book store or gamer store where role games, video games and computer games are sold. Make sure the game card is at least $100.00. They can buy games, collectables, cheat code books or game systems. With a game card you can't go wrong because you will not take the chance of duplicating a piece they already own.
8. CD sound tracks. Music from every superhero and space movie you can get. They will love it as background to roll playing or as inspiration when playing across the world on the internet.
9. Tee shirts of every kind as long as it features a superhero, super villain or a saying or line from their favorite movie. Buy at least 3 so they can change every 48 hours after play.
10. Energy Drinks! Gamers and geek can get involved in a game and play for hours. Playing games up to 24 hours at a time is nothing unusual so buy those energy drinks to help them stay awake, alert and win, win, win!
Wow. You have a great choice here. So no more excuses of you can't understand what a geek or nerd would like. Once you get into search for these products you'll discover a whole world you never knew existed and never run out of gifts again.
