Heather Shockney
If you know someone that loves to scrapbook and they are on your Christmas list then this gift guide is for you. Maybe you enjoy scrap booking yourself and know what type of things to get or maybe you have no idea. I will help you with my top suggestions on what to buy the scrapbook lover on your shopping list.

1A Holiday scrapbook, this way they can capture all the joys of the kids opening the presents or the glow of the Christmas lights. They'll be able to remember all the fun everyone shared at Christmas dinner. This will be a great way to keep those holiday photos organized and on display instead of laying on the desk or in a drawer .A great place to shop for albums or any other crooking need would be Jo-Ann's
.
2.Some holiday pages for their scrapbook, they make pages in every theme imagineable. You could get some Christmas pages and some for New Years, So they can show off all the fun that was had at the New Years Eve party. Oriental Trading company has a Months and Season pack of scrap booking paper for $4.95 it includes 16 different pages. This would make a great gift they could have a head start on pages for the following year.

3.Scrapbooking scissors, you can find all types of specialty scissors that will make different designs and edges. They can be found at any craft store and are a great gift for under $10.00.I would recommend The Scissor Spinner Rack from Provo Craft it comes with 12 different pairs of scissors, and the rack to store them in, the rack also has room for punches and pens to be kept .The scissor patterns included are Pinking, Mini Pinking, Small Scallop, Medium Wave, Victorian 2, Bumps, Roller Coaster, Rocks & Ridges, Clouds, Deckle, Small Grass and Postage Stamp. This item can be found at Michaels.

4.Border Punch set, Includes 6 punches, 6 border making templates, border maker and storage case. This can be purchased from the Oriental Trading Company for $24.95. These punches will allow you to create a continuous border on your scrap booking pages.

5.Digital Scrap booking software, this would allow them to use their home computer to design their scrapbook pages One great program is Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe. It gives them the ability to edit their photos they are going to use on their pages, and comes with over 5,000 templates to choose from or they can make their own from the thousands of font and clipart images included. They can also share their creations online by email. This can be found anywhere they sell software, even Wal-Mart, Target, etc. it will cost around $36.00.

6.Scrapbooking books, there are plenty of great books out there to teach all about scrap booking. One book I would recommend is the Everything Scrap booking book: Ideas for Preserving Memories That Last a Lifetime, by Jennifer Barr. This book will guide you through every step of scrap booking from deciding on which photos to choose to laying them out. It gives ideas for themes, the use of lettering and many more. It can be found at Amazon for $14.95 or any other bookstore that sells the Everything series. Another great book is Scrap booking for Dummies, its perfect for the new scrap booker. It will teach you how to organize your photos and memorabilia, along with how to do layouts and cropping pictures. It will also help you with choosing the right themes and how to preserve your old photos. This would make a great gift for any scrap booker and it can also be found at Amazon for $13.59.

These are just a few of the great gifts available for scrap bookers, visit your local craft store to find more ideas or to purchase items to make a great scrap booking basket. You could include a holiday themed page kit, and some new scissors, along with some matching stickers and Die-cuts. Any one who loves scrap booking would be thrilled.
