Buying gifts for a candle maker can be challenging, if you aren't sure where to look. So here are some suggestions to help you find the right gift, depending on the person's age and experience. Basically, a beginner would enjoy learning more about the craft. But, an experienced candle maker may be looking for new recipes or ideas. Try to visit your local craft store and look for candle making supplies and get an idea of what supplies they will need.

Shopping around will allow you, to find the best bargains on books to help the candle maker to learn more about the hobby. Some books will have facts and information, along with recipes for them to try making. Many of the projects can be made by beginners, while some recipes require more knowledge about candle making. Some popular web sites for bargain shopping are www.amazon.com or www.ebay.com.

Every candle maker loves to experiment with new recipes, so you may want to grab some books with recipes in it. Be sure to grab some extra wicks, molds, and bags of wax mixture, so they can make several projects. When shopping for candle molds, look for ones that fit the candle maker's unique personality. There are several sizes and types of molds to choose from: like round, square, and other special types of molds.

Some candle makers, will use baby food jars or metal cookie cutters, to make their own inexpensive candles. However, a large or small muffin pan is perfect for making a set of floating candles, without buying a special mold. Plus, food coloring is a good choice, because it can be used to create the perfect color that will match any décor. Another great gift idea is scented oils like: lavender, citrus, and vanilla or other sweet fragrances.

You can also look for small items that can be added to the mixture: like gems, glitter, flower petals, shells. Also, grab extra rubber gloves, plastic wrap, ribbons, and wax paper, because they can never have enough supplies on hand. By purchasing a fire extinguisher for their kitchen or work area, so you can ensure their safety. Most craft stores will have a complete beginner's kits for children, tips for new candle makers, and unique supplies.

Try visiting the internet, in order to locate inexpensive supplies that any candle maker will appreciate and enjoy. But, be sure to visit the web site at www.candleandsoap.com, for some unique ideas. There are many projects to choose from and something that will fit any candle maker's current skill level. Who knows...maybe they will make the first set of candles for you!
