There are many alternatives for gift wrapping that can be found in your kitchen. When deciding on a method of gift wrapping you can save some money, a tree or two, and some time by looking right I your kitchen. This article will provide you with several gift wrapping alternatives found in your kitchen.

Plastic Wrap

Plastic wrap is cheap and easy to use. It does not require the use of tape, scissors, or ribbon. Plastic wrap is also a fun wrapping paper alternative because it comes in a variety of colors. Wrap your gift just once with plastic wrap or wrap it several times to make it even more fun to open up.

Used Packaging

Many things we buy come in packaging. One of the best ways to help the environment is by recycling, and you can use packaging instead of wrapping paper. Try painting empty cereal boxes and using them as clothing boxes. Clean potato chip bags are fun ways to wrap odd shaped items. Instead of spending money on regular wrapping paper try reusing something in your home first.

Magazines

Plastic Garbage Bags

Plastic garbage bags are another kitchen item that is great for gift wrapping. Simply place gift inside bag and tie the top of the bag in a knot or with ribbon. You can add paint, stickers, or streamers to the bag for a more personalized look.

Cellophane

Cellophane comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns, and it can be used easily as wrapping paper. Simply use tape and scissors to wrap regular gifts. For odd shapes cut a two large sheets of cellophane and lay them overlapping. Place gift in center of cellophane and pull ends together on top. Tie with ribbon to secure.
